Old South Golf Links
Played On 04/20/2016Challenging course .... but fun
This was our first course in this area where they actually started us off on the first tee, and, we were lucky enough to be paired with a local twosome.... and that made this round so much more enjoyable.
Make sure you have your bug juice on because the bugs were relentless to start. Each hole presented it's own challenges either bunkers or water, but nothing that laying up couldn't fix. The whole round was a little better than four hours and we never felt pushed at all.
A fun place and quite enjoyable
Bear Creek Golf Club
Played On 04/18/2016Good course with some challenges
My wife found this course as an additional place to play and we were not disappointed. Our tee time included both breakfast and lunch after the round. The fairways were in good shape but I will say that as of the writing of this there were multiple greens that were in "sad" shape and in repair mode. The staff had done a good job of trying to make them playable and we commend them for that.
We had no problem following the course even tho there were NO signs telling you what hole you were on, but if you started on #10 .... they moved you right along to the next ... and the next..... and the next. We had had a nightmare from a previous course that sent you on a wild goose chase .... but not this course.
Breakfast that was included was top notch and the lunch included after your round.... well... it hit the spot.
It was a good experience overall.

Played On 05/22/2015Nice course, great location
Are "Links" members and have to say that this course was quite enjoyable. Started out as a twosome but quickly became a foursome.... it was truly enjoyable.
This course has distinctive grass height cuts and the deep cut really makes one be sure of your shot. Greens were quick, some in better shape than others. Beverage cart person seemed to find us every three to four holes which was nice. Some holes uphill... some downhill, some very long, but overall not a bad first time course for us.
Woodstock Golf Course
Played On 05/15/20159 hole course playing eighteen.
A Groupon special and worth the drive. Not a stick out of the crowd course, but one you can have fun with.
The first nine were interesting due to not knowing the course... but the second nine made it fun because you could know where to hit your shot over that hill or around that corner.
Williamsburg National Golf Club - Yorktown Course
Played On 04/21/2015better than Jamestown course
Front nine enjoyable.... back nine challenging and alot windier than front. Better fairways and greens.... and...
we played this several times that week.
Thanks for the four star review! We hope to see you again soon!
Williamsburg National Golf Club - Jamestown Course
Played On 04/20/2015OK course.... played it a couple times...
our first time playing this course was OK.... it had rained the night before so it was cart path ONLY.... which made for a loonngg 18 holes... greens where fast and readable .... 19th hole was a welcome sight.
We played this course again a couple days later with a little bit better results but the course had a thing about cart path only.....
this was part of a time share golf outing....
Sometimes, the rain really can make for a hard get-around, sorry for the delay. We’re glad you got better results in the next outing. We hope you’ll visit us again.
The Woods of Westminster
Played On 08/03/2014Caution..... yet can be rewarding
We have played this course now for over a year...
learning it's quirks will give you a more relaxed round. No two days are alike on this course and that makes it worth coming back to. Staff is above and beyond the call when it comes to attention to detail.
The 19th hole is cozy and inviting and priced quite well.
Settlers Crossing Golf Course

It's always a pleasure to come here for their special events.....
Course has new greens that need to be compressed a bit... but you can tell they are trying their best to make this a better course. Tons of rocks everywhere can either be your friend or maybe not... 8th hole is still under repair but it all looks promising.
19th hole gathers a good crowd and it's always a pleasure to play here if I only want to hit 9 holes
Thank you very much for taking the time to visit our course and writing us a fantastic review. We certainly appreciate it and hope to see you again soon!
Overlook , The
Played On 07/13/2014Challenging... but enjoyable
First off.... this course follows a river... and should you have a errant shot...well.... just drop another ball and hit again.... because you will probably not find it.
Greens were nice and required a second look before putting... but if you play good irons you should be fine.
19th hole was OK... cart people attentive.
Providence Golf Club
Played On 06/29/2014was OK... reviews we've read miss lead us
Had early AM tee time and arrived around 0715...
NO bag drop area (sign laying on ground).... NO staff outside to assist. WE took our clubs around back.... picked out our own golf cart, loaded it and moved to what we thought was the correct area. Inside staff was pleasant and there was an offer of $10 all you can play.... not bad. After paying we were told to go directly to the tee box and play. We thought we would be at least 15 minutes ahead of the next couple.... but by our half way point of the first hole we but heard and saw a foursome rolling up behind us.
The facilities around the 4-5 holes were in sad shape with certain areas in need of cleaning. The 8th hole... short par 3.... and we mean short... was 68 yards and should just have been missed. Grounds people were nice.... beverage cart was courteous and timely. The porta potti by the 17th hole was probably NOT meant to be there... and again.... too hot and dirty to use..
Score cards did not have diagrams of the holes in play and plaques at each hole were OK but of o use after you tee'd off. Carts were not GPS'd... which I guess was OK... but with the GPS you can at least see the area in front of you..
This was our last course of 5 we played during our 2 plus weeks of being in the area.....
but we have reviewed the others already... it is the lowest on our list.
Windermere Country Club
Played On 06/27/2014one of the better courses
This was our 4th course during our vacation and it exceeded the prior 3.... greens were good .... fairways sparse in areas.... some work being done at the time but nothing that interrupted our game. A few water hazards were not our friend but that was errors by us. Should come back to the course we will know in advance where certain hazards were.
NO one came out to hassel us about "pace of play"...
It is a course that is worth playing and coming back for.
The Legends at Orange Lake Resort
Played On 06/21/2014golf and lunch deal
booked tee time on line at a discounted $$$. Had a 821am tee time and were kinda short staffed at that time. .... but all went well. Nice course layout and all staff was friendly. All greens were undergoing servicing and we had to adjust ourselves to that fact.
ChampionsGate Golf Club - National
Played On 06/19/2014good for the novice golfer
Both my wife and I are novices at best.... but we enjoyed the course greatly. First hole was awful for me, but once I settled down.... nice. My wife enjoyed herself and too had a decent game. We both broke 100 and that's pretty good for us.
Hi "NEGolfer591" Thank you for the excellent review! The bugs can be extremely bad around this time of year, but glad you enjoyed your round today with us.
