Stagg Hill Golf Club
Played On 09/13/2015Great course to test your shot making ability.
This course is a "Good Ol' Boys" golf club. They greet you when you walk in like you are a friend and they always treat you right. Nice driving range and putting green to warm up on. The course is tight with trees lining the fairway on both sides most of the holes. Some of the holes give views of the Kansas River. Get used to laying up. I have never played so many doglegs on a course before. If you are a high ball hitter, you can cut the corners and hit over the trees on some of the holes. Most of the members play in threesomes & foursomes, so don't get in a hurry. They will let you play through, but there is usually another group in front of them. The price is very reasonable. Under $40 on the weekend for 18 and a cart.
Estes Park Golf Course
Played On 07/23/2014A bit of mountain bliss
This course was my first mountain golf course. My father-in-law and I were paired with a great local couple. They were friendly, courteous & had some great input on how to play the course. The course is long but, with the light mountain air it plays much shorter. I struggled on club selection because the ball flew much farther than I was used to. The course was in great condition considering they had severe flooding a few months before we played it. Don't forget to have a drink after your round and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery.
