Omni Amelia Island Resort - Oak Marsh
Played On 09/18/2020Always enjoyable
Played both 17 & 18 September 2020. Pace of play was good... but not as good as previous rounds. Course was in good shape, even after some heaver rains the couple of days before we played. Always enjoyable venue... staff was very helpful and friendly. On site restaurant was average, at best.
The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort
Played On 08/24/2020Fun course with good pace of play
First time we played this course and really enjoyed it. The front nine is nice, but the back nine was really fun to play. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed talking with Rick about the history and evolution of the course. Restaurant was average, but all the golf was very enjoyable. We will be back!
Eagle Creek Golf Club
Played On 11/12/2016Disappointed
Played here a couple of times and always have enjoyed it... until today. Started off poorly when we went into the pro shop and the two folks behind the counter were almost too busy looking at their phones to acknowledge us. Then, there was some event on the range, so the "golfers" were packed into half of the range... which meant we waited for a spot to open up. Because of overseeing we were cart path only which contributed with an over five hour round. Lousy day... in fact the worst round on our road trip to the Orlando area. Won't visit it on our next road trip.

This place is a dump. I don't know why anyone wastes money here. It was a good tract of land. They have abused it and ruined it. I think they are getting ready to sell to build on here. Goodness knows when the last time they watered. Greens are ruined and the fairway are awful. This is the worst course I have played on. The only thing worse than the course is the attitude of the staff. They must know something. Run away!
Owner comments to check website www.rediscoveroakbridge.com, but the website is shut down because it is under maintenance. Perhaps they should do the same with course until it is done.
Comments are the same as when I played over 2 years ago!

Queen's Harbour Yacht & Country Club
Played On 10/29/2015Beautiful tract, needs some work.
Enjoyed playing here, pace of play was good and the staff was friendly. It could use some work on the course. Greens had some damage, but at one time they must have been great. Lots of repairs needed on cart paths and fairways. With a little work this can be an outstanding course. But, play here, you will enjoy it.
Windsor Parke Golf Club
Played On 06/17/2014This course is fun to play, but needs some work.
We enjoyed playing Windsor Parke. It is a nice tract of land and has some nice views. The greens need some work... not anywhere near as bad as Ponte Vedra Country Club, but some rough spots and lots of sand. The fairways are in pretty good shape, but there were a couple of areas that were being worked on. The staff was efficient and courteous. We are paired with two older gentlemen who, for the most part were fine to play with... but on the back nine they started fishing" for golf balls in the water. This really slowed play down and after calling them on it a couple of times, we just played on without them. It was really kind of annoying. The pace of play was a little slower than average, but not as bad as some courses. All in all an enjoyable experience. I'd play here again and would recommend it.

This may be the worst maintained course that we have played in Florida. It was truly awful; anyone who rates the course good or better is not being honest with you. First the good stuff: the check in was quick and friendly, with a nice lady behind the counter; the ranger was friendly and informative; the pace of play was pretty good, because there were not many on the course; the weather was beautiful. This is a beautiful tract of land that could be a gem of a course in an area filled with great courses. That pretty much is the end of the good stuff. The greens were worse than horrible... the patchwork fixes on the greens were a joke and most had large patches of no grass. They really were no fun. I know this was a bad winter in the area, but these greens had no business being this bad. The tee boxes were a joke... we struggled to find areas to tee off from... some tee boxes were one big divot. The fairways were the best attribute of the course and they were awful. The course bathroom doors were propped open with trash cans because the lights were out. Even at a discount rate, this course is not worth the price. They clearly have stopped putting money into this course. They certainly don't care about it... so, why should you? Don't waste your money, there are too many other places in the area to actually enjoy a round of golf.
King and Bear Golf Course at World Golf Village
Played On 06/11/2014Fun challenging course... very friendly and helpful staff.
We had a great time playing here. Maybe the northern Florida residents rates helped, but it was fun. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed interacting with the starter (George) he came to meet us on the range and didn't rush us.. in fact, when we told him we were ready, he suggested we spend some time on the putting green. We did and he led us to the first tee... he told pictures for us on the first tee and showed us the barrel of cold apples. Watched us tee off and headed back for the next group. The course was in excellent shape and challenged us to hit the ball straight. We enjoyed the frequent appearance of a marshall asking us if we needed anything. We certainly enjoyed the mango scented cold towels on 15 and the closing holes. We ate in the facility and enjoyed our meals. We will be back.
Baytree National Golf Links
Played On 06/02/2014Once was a gem; now, it is trying to get back
At one time this was a really nice course that was in good shape. The last couple of years have not been kind to it and it went into disrepair. But recent improvements, to include the recent work on the greens, gives hope for the future. The temporary greens are... well, temporary greens. I always enjoyed this course, but stopped playing it because it was in such bad shape. Hopefully, the future is bright and we will play here more often
Rockledge Country Club
Played On 09/16/2013Liked the course... easy to walk... not special in any way
The course was fun to walk... in a rather noisy neighborhood. It is showing some wear and tear and the facilities are average. Still, it was fun to play for the summer... but I wouldn't go out of my way to play it. It seems to be struggling to keep its facilities up to snuff.
The Savannahs Golf Course
Played On 09/11/2013This is a nice public course
I played Savannahs many times while I lives on Merritt Island. It was almost always a pleasure to play. It is a real shotmakers course that squeezes you on a number of occasions. The big bombers don't like it because they are always looking for their shots. You have to back off and hit some smart shots. Check in is usually pretty good... but on a number of occasions system problems led to problems and lines. One area of improvement is they could speed of folks more often. But a nice venue, well worth the money.
Duran Golf Club - Championship Course
Played On 09/05/2013Could be an excellent course; but it isn't.
A nice tract that has everything going for it and could be an exceptional property. But, it isn't because, in my opinion, it doesn't know what it wants to be. Nice facilities and when you get get something to eat or drink, it is all good. Now the bad... It is always jammed and nobody seems to care that the rounds get longer and longer. We walked off the course on the 15th hole after reaching the five hour mark. We called a couple of times to see if they could speed things up... nothing happened. If you want to play long rounds and wait a lot between shots, this is a good place for you. I can't tell you how many times we finished a round and wanted to go in for a drink and a quick bit to eat only to be told it was closed for some special event. Very disappointing. But, they must be doing something right, it is almost always jammed.
Thank you for visiting us at Omni Amelia Island Resort - Oak Marsh. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
