Water water everywhere but nothing to drink

We start with arriving and no one is there to take our bags. I go in, and they tell me someone will be out to take our bags. Eventually I went and found my own cart and picked up our bags. After warming up we head to the first tee, no starter. So much for some tips on the course. The course was challenging, conditions were decent due to the heat. Once again, like the Trent Jones course, 3 metal water fountains producing warm water were all they provide you, except on did find a beverage cart once there. At this course they NEVER had a beverage cart. After playing 18 holes I told the clubhouse attendant who apologized, said that it is out of his control. When I asked if we were the only ones playing (10am tee time), he said no 80 players.

So you have 80 players playing and that isn't enough to send a beverage cart out or a starter? How many need to play to get those type of services??

Old South kept their cart girl out on the course just for us on the back 9. Ridiculous

Disappointment

I was so excited to play this course, it was the highlight of our trip. While the course was nice and the view of the ocean was very cool, I was disappointed. It was hot, heat index of 106. So I understand the tees and greens being like rocks. If you hit a gap wedge though, your ball should at least leave a mark. The biggest issue was the service. They only have 3 metal water fountains on the course. They provide you warm water to drink. The half way house was closed, so after golfing 9 holes, there is nothing to eat or drink or even get ice. Eventually we found the beverage cart for her only visit on the 13th hole and she had turkey sandwiches.

If I was judging the course I would give it 3.5 stars out of 5, but the poor customer service really brought it down.
