Southern Ridge Golf Club
Played On 04/21/2017Open fairways,
Play is through nice homes, but since the fairways are wide, chances of dinking someone's roof is low.
Nice course - good value for the intermediate player
Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills
Played On 04/20/2017Upgraded
Rolling Hills was recently renovated. They did a great job with the fairways and the greens, all now in excellent condition. The front 9 is now the back 9. My guess is they switched to improve the speed of play. The course was empty so I couldn't evaluate speed of play.
Rolling Oaks Golf Course
Played On 07/22/2016Good value. Run down
The price could not be beat: $16 for 18 holes with a cart on GolfNow. The paths for the carts were in horrible shape. The fairways were good, the greens were excellent. The course layout is awful. There was no one on the course due to the high temperatures ( 90+°). There is no refreshment cart and the restaurant behind the pro shop would not sell beer to bring on the course There is a soft drink machine outside the pro shop.
If it weren't for the signs showing you where the next hole is you can easily get lost. There's no logic to the layout of the holes
Gas powered golf carts were very powerful. You need to drive slowly or else the potholes in the paths would knock your balls around!
Paradise Valley Golf Course
Played On 01/20/2016Great Value
Nice greens. Fairways are dry, no rough to speak of. There are trouble spots such as dirt, rocks, typical Arizona golf. VERY HARD fairways will result in long rolls on low drives. Greens are fast without notable fringe - you can put from the fringe as though it was greens. Friendly staff.
Palms at Palm-Aire Country Club
Played On 12/15/2015Decent Course
The starter was very helpful. The pace was pathetically slow. Back nine was even slower so i left the 13th hole after 4 hours.
The greens were in good condition. The fairways were in good shape.
They switch the nines on weekdays/weekends I believe :)
