The Club at Starr Pass - Rattler/Coyote
Played On 10/28/2022Disappointing
I would not recommend this course at this time of year. Usually come ro Tucson on holiday and play a few weeks earlier and it has been in much better shape. Now they are into overseeding, the main driving range is closed and the substitute one is far below the standard of the course. The last straw was when the carts were “called in” at sunset, forcing us to end ur round early, with plenty of light left. Never heard of this before, were not advised of this before round or at time of booking, nor has anyone else we know in Tucson heard of this. Unfortunately will not be playing the course again this year.

First time playing it this time of year;. Usually down for vacation in March when conditions then are much better. Still lots of damage from the summer heat??. Not sure if this is the reason. Expected higher quality based on many years of coming down to play. Still a wonderful course to play with the best vistas of any course around Tucson.

Old South Golf Links
Played On 10/14/2017Great course except for the greens
The course was in average condition except for the greens which had been seeded and sanded making them VERY slow and a bit bumpy. As someone not from the south I love this course for some of the landscapes; the old trees with the moss hanging off, the carries over the marshes, and the wild life including several gators. Would definitely play it again, but only when the greens have improved.

Played On 02/27/2017My wife and I love playing this course and do so several times each winter holiday. Views are spectacular with lots of elevation changes, staff are wonderful and accommodating. Course is very fair and can be challenging from the tees further back. The only Disappointment is that their greens have taken some significant damage this year and are in the process of getting back to normal, so give them a couple of weeks. Despite this we will be playing more rounds this trip.
We are glad you like the course and the scenery. Unfortunately, over-seeding must be done to insure "green" greens over the winter since the summer grass will not tolerate the cooler weather. All courses here do this so it might be best to play early in October or in November to avoid the maintenance.
