Timber Banks Golf Club & Marina
Played On 07/30/2015Challenging but fun to play
Timber Banks is not much to look at upon entering. There is no clubhouse and the food shack is a walk away. But the course is a great challenge designed for better than average golfers with some of the best greens and tricky pin placements around. While difficult, the course allows full use of the driver with mostly generous fairways. Its difficulty lies mostly with the large and undulating greens. these are some of the best in the County for sure. I put Timber Banks only slightly below Kahulyat and Shenendoah. While those course are perfectly manicured, Timber Banks makes up for it with interesting and diverse holes. Plus it is 1/2 the price.
Atlantis Country Club
Played On 03/22/2015Good value and very playable
Atlantis does not deserve as high a ranking as 4.1 which is what North Palm Beach CC received. North Palm Beach is a much better of course. But Atlantis is a very serviceable fun course with front bunkered greens and reasonable space for tee shots. You will likely not lose too many balls and enjoy the course. It is not fancy and bit tired but a good value and a decent track.
North Palm Beach Country Club
Played On 03/21/2015A great muni in the center of West Palm Beach Gardens
I was initially unimpressed with the muni appearance. The course has a very small pro shop and the driving range reeked of "muni." Golfer's attire was fitting for a muni and not a "high end daily fee" course which is what NPB CC really is. The course is terrific. While the facilities are average, the layout, conditions, and challenging holes offer golfers a great test and memorable round. It is slightly more expensive than other options, but entirely worth the cost. It does lack a "country club" or "daily fee" feel as it truly is a municipal course but Nicklaus outdid himself with a unique layout and course. I highly recommend this course. It should be rated 4.5 stars.
Ravenwood Golf Course
Played On 10/05/2013Great GolfNow value for a 5-star course
The GolfNow price was a bargain for this 5-star course. It is an "upscale daily fee" course, which treats you like a "country club member" for the day. Staff was cordial and the facilities were first-rate. We enjoyed the driving range and restaurant too. The multiple sets of tees provides for a moderate to very challenging experience. The conditions were excellent. Ravenwood is one of the top five courses around.
Harryh - thank you so much for the excellent review! We really appreciate you taking the time to let us know how much you enjoyed the course. As the only Nicklaus designed golf course in upstate New York, we feel like we do have something a little more special to offer! We hope to see you back sooner than later!
