One of those courses you only go to get some swings in. My only gripe this time was I teed off as a single at 1:40 on a Tuesday afternoon. Never saw a soul in front of me. Played the front in 1:15. Went to make the turn, 4 some of walkers and a single in back of them jumped me on 10. The single was an older gentleman that wanted to play slow. He had no desire to team up with me. The walking 4 some eventuality let me get through on 12. This is what ticks me off. This course has 27 holes. If you are sending 9 hole groups out, you can go play the short course or tee off on 1. Don’t screw people making the turn.

I had never played this course before until last year. I joined a Sunday morning traveling league and last year with the league was the first time I had played it. We’ve already played it this year and I went out without the league last Friday. Really wish I had been turned in to this course earlier. Awesome layout. Great greens and tee boxes. All you can ask for in a public course.

Best draining course I have ever played. Rained all day Saturday, course was dry in Sunday.

First time I have ever walked off a course after 9 because of the pace of play. Booked in as a single, got paired up with two others. No biggie. We got stuck behind some “league” and obviously they put the slowest group in the “league” in the last group. Waited on every shot. The group in front of us had the course open in front of them after hole 5. 3 some. One single in the cart and two paired up. No clue how to play ready golf. They would all follow along with each other and watch the other guy hit. Then drive to the next ball, watch that guy hit. Shame on the starter for not realizing no one came down 9’s fairway for 30 minutes. Plus, the group WAITED for the last group to get to the turn before going to 10’s tee box, so we couldn’t jump the slow group. Starter totally failed at his duties.

This course is 5 minutes from where I work so when I could sneak out early on Fridays, it was my go to. Then the course conditions got unplayable. At one time they actually had a dead green. Hole 12. Green was more sand than grass. That’s when I stopped playing it. Fast forward to yesterday when I gave it another shot and it was in good shape, not great, but it was more than playable. Tee boxes and greens were well maintained. Can’t wait until the next time I can sneak out early and get a round in here.

Best course south west of Cleveland. Greens were punched, but still rolled true and fast. Going to be a lot of 3 jackers in a week or two. Can’t wait to get out there again.

They are working on the course. Looks like they are digging drainage ditches in certain spots and because of that the course is not in great shape. I am sure it will improve once the work is done. Course is usually in incredible shape.

City of Mentor run course. Good course. Nothing will jump out at you, no real “wow” factor, but it’s in great shape and that goes a long way with me.

Course was everything I expected it to be. In great shape and the greens were fast and true. Real nice test.

I’m on vacation and booked this course through a discounted site weeks ago. Had rough weather coming in late afternoon. My tee time was 1:32 so I called to see about getting out earlier. There customer service was great. No problem. Took a 10:44 time instead. Asked if I needed to make up the difference in the price, she said “nope, you’re all set, enjoy your round”. Starter let me go out as a single right in front of a foursome. Everything worked out perfectly and I have the customer service and staff to thank for it.

On vacation from Ohio and this course is better than any of my normal courses back home. This was the 3rd different course I have played since I got to HH and it’s the best one by far. The greens are terrific. Staff was great and the layout was incredible. If you have a tendency to spray your approach shots like I do, you better bring your bunker game. I think I hit every one of them on the course!

Course was in good shape and the greens were solid. I am so glad I got paired up with someone who had played the course before because I probably would have gotten lost! Lots of tricky twists and turns out there. You better be able to place your shots or it’s going to be a long day with lots of lost balls!

Ohioan on vacation in HH. Good course. Tee boxes need some work and some of the fairways could have been greener, but overall a great course. The clubhouse restaurant has awesome food and sitting out on the patio for dinner in the great weather was a treat.

Great course. I live 20 minutes from it and I can’t believe I had never played it before. Probably would not be real challenging for a low handicapper, but I play off a 20, so it was perfect for me. Course was in EXCELLENT shape for Cleveland getting hit with 6” of snow 4 days ago. Hats off to the grounds crew!

Raccoon Hill as always comes through in the winter months in Northern Ohio. We had a snow storm 10 days ago and the course and greens were in great shape. Kudos to the staff. Great day.

Really nice course. Lots of fun and challenging holes. If you play it, pay attention to the scorecard. Every hole has its own name. Pretty cool.

Good course. Challenging layout. It’s about a 40 minute drive for me and it’s worth it.

First time I ever played Seneca. It’s wasn’t in terrific shape, but it was good enough. They usually keep the Metroparks courses in pretty good shape. This one will come back. I understand they are redoing one of the nines or something. I was talking to the starter about it and I can’t remember everything he said, but they are doing some work around the courses.
