Crooked Hollow Golf Club
Played On 06/14/2015Good Course, Great People
I have played at Crooked Hollow ever since it was a 9-hole course several years ago. The course is nice, not too difficult but still challenging. You won't lose a ton of golf balls.
The people really make the course. John Graham has been there a long time and does a great job managing the course, pro shop, and tournaments. The course is in pretty good shape considering all the rain that we've had recently.
Thousand Hills Resort & Golf Club
Played On 11/28/2013Great Course, Great Value, Friendly Staff
My wife and I played Thousand Hills on Thanksgiving Day while on vacation from Bossier City, Louisiana. We visited the clubhouse the day before to confirm our tee time. The gentleman (forgot his name) working the pro shop was super-friendly and gave us a great discount on two hats for myself and a hat-shirt combo for my wife.
On Thanksgiving Day, the course was relatively empty. We joined up with a gentleman from Colorado and had a great time. The course was in great shape, especially for this time of the year. The GPS was a great help with the yardages, but didn't show where the hazards were lurking.
It is a beautiful course. There are very few cross-holes, so you don't have to worry about dodging errant shots from other holes. The greens were smooth and not too fast (or too slow). The on-course bathrooms were among the nicest that I have ever seen.
We can't wait to play this course again when we come back to Branson.
Holiday Hills Resort and Golf Club
Played On 8/4/2012Enjoyable; not too difficult
I played there with my wife on our honeymoon. It is a good course to play with a beginner. Not as much elevation changes as I thought there would be, but it is a fun course to play. It was in good shape, and the greens were set at a good pace. Would recommend.
