Glenross Golf Course
Played On 08/18/2022Great track, avoid league night
Beautiful evening for 9 holes, and a beautiful course. Unfortunately it was a league night where a 4some took plenty of time and of course didn’t let anyone play through. Tee box got backed up where 3 separate groups were waiting on them by the 5th hole. I get that members get priority but yeesh.. Good note to get an early tee time so that you can enjoy this course with a respectable pace of play. Clubhouse is under renovation so a tent is set up in its stead.
4/5 stars.

Understand they are a small family course, so $$$ is always needed. That said, it took 3 hrs to get through 9 holes and I didn’t want to make it a 6hr round so I called it quits at the turn and let the course keep all of my money. I’ll revisit after work during the week, wouldn’t recommend for the weekend unless you don’t care how long it will take.

Front 9 is a new edition and the back 9 is the classic Donald Ross design. Boy, could you tell the difference in difficulty! Felt like we played two different courses which was a lot of fun. Early season course conditions (unmowed tee boxes) but for the rainy weather the course overall was in good shape. Greens were rolling well. Would like to come back when the course is at top shape!

Played On 05/10/2022Decent for the $
Hard to find ball in rough as it isn’t mowed, and greens are basically like putting on carpet. For the $, it’s a good place to get some practice in and is pretty cheap. Was able to get through 9 holes in under an hour so pace of play was also nice.

You really can’t beat the value here as the course provides a fun layout and decently maintained. Bunkers need to be straightened out but overall solid course. Clubhouse has all the refreshments or grub you would need to get you through the round. Probably could have played the entire round in three hours if not for the slow pace of play as there was nobody going around to keep the pace up. I’d give this course a B simply due to the value and layout.

Played On 08/04/2019Worth $30 tops
Got wrangled into playing here since it was one of the few courses in the area with a open tee time. Paid $46 for a course that was not well maintained. You could hear the grass begging for water as the entire land was dried out. Had massive dry spots and surprisingly the bunker on #4 turned into a pond (which would have been nice to know from the starter. It was challenging and fun but not worth the price.
