Vistal Golf Club
Played On 03/21/2015Vistal GC
First time playing Vistal this year. Fairways have grass but somewhat dry and there’s some bare spots here and there. Greens are super dry, don’t hold half the approach shots and do not roll true due to being bumpy. This course does have a great layout and some very scenic views. Most greens are well guarded by bunkers or water and have nice contours to them. Definitely has the potential to compete with some of the areas elite courses down the road if it was well kept up with.

Los Caballeros Golf Club
Played On 02/28/2015Beautiful Course
We played Los Caballeros over the weekend and it was a great experience. Staff was extremely cordial and helpful. They offer free, all you can hit range balls to warm up and putting green and chipping area are in great condition. Course offers multiple tees to choose from and there is more than one ball washer per tee box. Fairways are in great condition and are fairly wide to accommodate a few mis hits. Bunkers actually have sand in them!!! Greens were a little hard so most approach shots didn’t hold so well and we would get additional roll out than planned. I had trouble reading my putts as the greens did have significant break and are super-fast. Plenty of elevation changes that featured mostly down hill holes and some uphill greens as well. Pace of play was spectacular! There was a group a hole in front of us that never slowed us down and a group a hole behind us that we didn’t slow down even with stopping to take pictures and enjoy the scenery that this course offers. All in all, I would definitely recommend this course to anyone and yes, the hour drive from Phoenix was definitely worth it.
Raven Golf Club - Phoenix
Played On 05/31/2014Great Course
The course on this day was in pristine conditions! From the moment we arrived we were greeted and got our bags placed in the carts by the staff. Large putting greens, chipping area and range are all in great conditions. Tee boxes are fairly flat and have plenty of grass and room to select tee off location. Fairways are properly marked off with distance markers and hazards. The GPS on the carts are definitely a game changer that allow over head views of greens and layup distances. The best part, in my opinion, are the greens. They were receptive of approach shots, rolled true and had moderate speed. There’s nothing better than hitting a good approach shot and it sticking to the green as they should. Overall, I had a great experience at this course and recommend it to anyone.
Coronado Golf Course
Played On 03/19/2014Perfect 9 hole course
I play this course in the afternoons just to keep my game from going into hibernation during the long workweek. Perfect course to practice all irons in the bag and even my driver gets some of the action. Currently the greens, in my opinion, are excellent!!! They are moderately quick and roll extremely true. The fairways have some dirt but it’s not a big deal.
