I highly recommend this course. Great layout and condition wawas fantastic. Best greens I've played this winter in Florida. Met the superintendent ( who will be going to The Masters for the 12th time) and complemented him on condition of the course.
Well worth the short trip from Venice.

Myakka Pines Is a wonderful course, nodevelopment, just nature and golf. Layout is challenging and picturesque.
It was a nice change from golf in country clubs and developments.
Highly recommend it.

Golf course in nice condition, elevation changes, bunkers were bad since end of season, but greens were nice.
Pace of play could be better, but people let me play through.

Course was in great condition but unfortunately the pace of play was really slow. There were a few groups that were Really Slow and it took a call to the clubhouse to get someone out to move the slow pokes along.

Beautiful course with spectacular views on some holes. Short but challenging holes, long par 3's. Play it from the tips and you will have a great experience. Only negative was that there is no beverage cart, and you do not come back to the clubhouse intil you finish your round. Long drives between some holes.

I hadn't played the course in over 2o years. It was nice to be back. The greens were fantastic and the course maintenence was great. The bunkers could use more sand, but they weren't bad at all. Scenic, peaceful and challenging enough for all levels of play.
We caught up to a outing ahead of us on the 15th hole, but otherwise it was clear sailing.
Really enjoyed the course.

Excellent course; fantastic views of the Hudson, West Point. Challenging holes and layout. Greens could be faster.

The course was in great shape; greens were running nice and fast, fairways and bunkers in very good shape. It a bad great old layout with enough water to get in trouble with wayward drives. Excellent challenge for every level of golfer from various tees
