Winding Creek Golf Club
Played On 10/24/2020Crazy course
What can I say? This course is crazy with all the blind shots, undulating up and down, side to side fairways. Undulating greens as well! 1st time playing makes it a guessing game to hit it in the right spot. The tee boxes are great, with plenty of grass, the fairways are mostly narrow, but well seeded, the rough was not too thick, and the greens were perfect, but hard to read, and small mostly. There are some excellent scenic views here , as well as some weird ones with giant phone towers and fences. No houses on the course is nice. I couldn't get over the layout and sometimes it was hard to tell where to go to find the next tee box. Also, on some holes, you are hitting your second shot right toward or over a tee box to the green. Just plain confusing is what it is. Enjoyedbour round and I recommend playing at least once for the views and craziness.

Played On 09/07/2020Hard course
This course is a precision shot course. Very hard if you've never played before. even harder when the rough is grown up weeds. Hard to find your ball if you're out of the fairway. The greens were in decent shape though.
Charles T. Myers Public Golf Course
Played On 05/15/2020Nice track
me and my son went to play a fun round. It was during the heavy cv scare.(not for me) and we had to pay with card only, and the guy handed us the cart key with a 7 foot pole with a basket on the end of it. Lol we had a slow group of walkers in front of us and an impatient group of teen walkers behind us who hit up on us quite a few times until I yelled back while waiting to hit my approach shot because the group in front of was on the green that I would knock his ball in the water if he did. Back to the wnd hole, where my son, a novice pretty much, sailed his tee shot far right into the 1st fairway. He hit a 2nd tee ball and it followed the 1st. We proceeded to go after them when a guy from the group of 4 that just teed off rode up and tried to tell us that we need to move along and not hit 2 balls. My son hit one extra off of 2 and this guy has the nerve to us how to play. They weren't waiting on us mind you. So I told him, we paid for our round just like him and he got furious and started cursing and stepped from his cart like he was gonna do something, so I told him to go on up his fairway and get out of my face if he knew what was good for him. He reluctantly did just that. After we cooled down from this idiotic useless confrontation we suffered with the kids behind but a the while trying to enjoy our round. The course has a very nice layout. Somewhat easy and short, but challenging enough for a fun father son day out. The greens were in great shape and rolled smoothly with lots of undulations. Some of the views from this course are pretty amazing as it sits up high in the area. Subtract se knuckleheads and this would have been a great day. But such is life, yes?
Westport Golf Course
Played On 02/23/2020Last time maybe
This course is tough to begin with since it has a lot of hard dog legs that are less than driver and that typically leaves you with a mid to long iron in on par 4s . But, they have Bermuda greens that are dormant now, which wouldn't be so bad except there were a lot of little sprigs of grass growing all over the greens. Oh yeah, the beer was hot too. Good thing it was inexpensive to play.
McCanless Golf Club
Played On 12/28/2019Dependable
Fairways and tee boxes are in rough winter condition. Greens are in excellent shape except for 7. Rolling and receiving very well. Love the layout of this course. Most holes are straight away, but a few are shot shaping holes. Short from the white tees but the greens are small to make up for that. You have to be accurate on distance and aim control. Always good hot dogs and the most courteous and friendly staff.
Warrior Golf Club
Played On 12/07/2019Saturday and Sunday Texas scramble
Played Warrior for a Saturday and Sunday scramble and the course is in decent shape for winter. I understand that the greens were replaced recently and they are pristine and very fast. Course is not too long at all from the white tees. It plays long from the blue and can be quite a challenge. Overall a very nice course but it can be expensive on the weekend.
McCanless Golf Club
Played On 07/21/2019Better than ever
I think the course is in the best shape condition wise, that I've ever seen it. Course is short, but the greens are small, so you still have to be accurate with your approach shots. Greens hold now unlike they have in the past and roll pretty true. Great value too.
Mooresville Golf Club
Played On 01/19/20191st time since remodel
The remodeled course has an excellent layout with mostly wider fairways. Holes play long. Greens are in great shape especially for this time of year. It was quite soggy but I expected that with all the rain we've had lately. I will definitely play again and look forward to in the spring.
McCanless Golf Club
Played On 05/28/2018Quickest round ever
I've played McCanless more than 50 times over the years and the greens keep getting smaller. Soon they won't exist. It's a decent course for the hot deal price of $18- the 25%off I got for Memorial day morning. I teed off at 745 and was done by 945,... not many people out golfing that day I guess. I like the layout except the course is a tad short, but that means a lower score I suppose. This course is about like any other this year with poor fairways but the greens were good and tee boxes were just ok. The greens are hard to hit since they're teeny tiny. Hopefully, one day, they do a green expansion, but I guess it's a trade off for the short yardage of the holes.
Red Bridge Golf and Country Club
Played On 11/05/2017Tough course
I like this course because it is a challenge. You must drive the ball well off the tee. Fairways are nice and fluffy, a few crab grass spots around the greens. Greens were not as fast this day as I have seen them in the past and were fairly easy to read. Overall, I would give this course a 4 out of 5. Definitely will play again as long as I can get a discounted tee time.
The Revival Golf Club at the Crescent
Played On 11/28/2015What happened
I played this course quite a few times 5 years ago through golf now and boy has it went south. I think they are selling the grass from the fairways. The greens weren't in bad shape, just a few diseased spots. One temp hole that no one told me about. The upkeep off the fairways is non existent! Probably won't play here again anytime soon. Sad because it used to be a decent course. I can't see anyone paying rack rate. I got a hot deal for $13

Nice course except the grading and stumps laying around.
The Tillery Tradition Country Club
Played On 12/27/2014excellent layout
I love the layout of this course. Of course the fairways were brown but you can tell its going to be beautiful in the warmer months. about 1 hour from home, further than i usually go to play. But it was well worthit. Will be going again. I'll probably play from the blue tees next time as thegold tees make it a little too short.

It is very beautiful at warrior. The only problem i noticed was the tee boxes. They are basicly sand. The course plays very easy
Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation
Played On 05/03/2014slow but nice
The course is in great condition....the greenest fairways ive played on this year. The greens are super. Hard because of the undulation, but in super shape. Someone really long off the tee might be in trouble from the tees due to hazards 280 - 300 out and we played from the blue tees so from the white tees you may have to hit 3 wood. Pace of play was really slow.we had to wait on most tees and secobd shots. The worst thing about our round was that our cart give out.....twice! We called the pro shop and they brought another cart....twice! The second only lasted 5 holes. Time for new carts or serious repair. Overall, the course is in excellent condition. Just didnt have a great experience because the carts and slow play. I would like to give it another shot just because i know the course a little better now.
Mooresville Golf Club
Played On 03/09/2014looks "rough"
Everything was brown of course. The whole course had been nearly flooded from the recent rain and snow. Hard to say what it will look like in a month or two. Every shot was a tight lie and very hard to hit. I will try it again later in the year.
The Valley at Eastport Golf Club
Played On 9/8/2013not beachy
This course was not hard. It does have lots of sand and water holes but for me, it did not have that beach course vibe. There are some spots on the course that need to be repaired and the fairways could use some attention, however the greens were in good condition. I would play here again because the rate was goo d on golf now, but i can't give it high marks for being in pristine shape.
Corbin Hills Golf Course
Played On 8/31/2013ok
Fairways are not in great condition like another course right down the road. Greens are in ok shape with some patchy crab grass hereand there and sandy spots. This course has a nice layout with quite a few tempting holes...drive the green or layup?...drive the creek or layup? Overall not a bad course but i would expect a lower rate on golf now.
The 500 Club
Played On 06/22/2013Tough little course
A very undulating course overall; lots of hills and slopes and not too many flat lies. You have to layup on most par 5's unless you're driving 280 and or can hit your 3-5 wood long and straight. Par 4's are longer and most of my second shots were around 150-170 out. Par 3's were the easiest part of the course I think. Greens were beautiful, very soft, and had good speed. If you're not in the fairway; you're in trouble on this course as you can lose your ball in the first cut because it drops down into this grass. Forget about getting a good shot on the ball! Overall very nice course if you want to be challenged. I will go again!
Paradise Valley Par 3
Played On 6/04/2013short but hard
This small par 3 is a chip and putt course. You only have to bring 2 clubs; a wedge and putter, but your short game better be good. All of the greens are small and even if you land on the green, it may roll off. The greens are not good for putting either. The grass is too long. It was also pretty soggy the day we went as the area got soaked in the days prior. Every hole is under 100 yards but you have to be on or you can not score well. Its too hard for me as i would rather be a full wedge out than 3/4 or half. But i guess its good for practice in that area.
We would greatly appreciate you giving us another chance. I think you will find much better conditions and a friendly atmosphere.
Thank you
