A number of tight fairways. Green were easy to read. Rolled nice.
River Oaks Golf Club
Played On 11/24/2020Not a lot of imagination in the layout
Pretty much a back and forth course. I like a few more doglegs and larger undulating greens. Fairways a bit thin and the greens a bit slow.

Relatively tight; nice fairway, greens roll nice, not real fast. Not a lot of elevation change.Home 14 is quite a challenge.
Eighteen Hole at Holiday Island Country Club
Played On 11/21/2018Cool Ozark views
Nicely designed track with a couple of neat holes. Greens are small so you need to be on target with that second shot. Two frustrations - a lot leaves on the course, even in the fairway. It hadn’t rained for at least 3 days, so they should have had time to blow them. We lost at least a dozen balls that should have been easily findable. Secondly, it would be nice if GolfNow.com would state if the greens have been recently punched.
But, hey, for a $10 GolfNow.com special - it exceeded expectations. Also, they have a super cool driving range across a ravine into the side of another mountain. Saw 3 deer on the driving range.
The Pointe Golf Course
Played On 11/20/2018Short but sweet
We played the white tees- probably should have played the blues. Seemed like every par 4 was 300 yds. Nice elevation changes. Greens roll nicely. Didn’t care for the finishing holes on both nines.
Wallinwood Springs Golf Club
Played On 10/05/2016Tough back nine
I have always liked the layout of this course. Great par 3s and tough par 5s. The fairways were in decent shape. The greens and tees are very poor condition. The pro shop is almost empty. I hope they make it, but it looks like they are struggling.
West at Gracewil Country Club
Played On 09/05/2016Decent course for a value round
I like the length and the greens are interesting. The tree lined fairways present a challenge if you don't hit is straight, but you can still find your ball. What was unusual was the bounce when your iron shots hit the green; they wouldn't hold. You would think a green like that would putt fast, but they were on the slower side. I think the grass isn't cut too tight, they may have a clay base rather than sand. Some of the fairways has very thin and sparse turf.
Little Crow Country Club - Willows Nine
Played On 07/26/2016Nice layout
Interesting greens; in good shape. A Number of water hazards. The proshop guy referred to us as the Golfnow party; like we were 2nd class. We followed the last ladies league foursome so it was a little slow. Fantastic value though.
