Azalea Sands Golf Course
Played On 10/23/2023Better than expected
This course was better than expected. Unfortunately it’s had a rocky reputation over the years and we typically have avoided it. That being said, our foursome had some physical limitations this year, so we decided to take it down a few notches and play the lower end courses. It is a fairly easy course and generally flat, but they have enough traps and hazards to keep it interesting. As state earlier, the course is in better condition than anticipated. It’s not lush perfection, but a decent opener course especially if you need to loosen up after traveling to MB.
Wedgefield Country Club

Nice course overall. Unfortunately, it had rained overnight and there was still a significant amount of standing water which impacted our game. So a word of advice, if it has rained recently, you might want to try again on a dry day. We were pleasantly surprised that it was not cartpath only, which was a huge help.
Whispering Pines Golf Course
Played On 10/20/2023Enjoyable round
This is not a highly marketed course, but honestly it’s in better shape than some of the big name courses. It’s a good opening round for you golf weekend. Greens were fast and true. It’s not Caledonia or Barefoot, but I think most golfers can and will enjoy it.
Magnolia/Dogwood at Brunswick Plantation & Golf Links
Played On 10/22/2022Needs better distance markings
The course was in very good and very playable condition. Our one complaint is that the course is not well marked from a distance perspective. There are no poles marking 200/150/100. They do mark the sprinkler heads, but many are missing the numbers. The sprinkler heads are challenging to find to begin with and then It's frustrating once you find one only to discover the number plaque is broken off. we found ourselves driving in circles and then ending up with a best guess as to the distance. We did find a few 150's in the fairway, but they were the size of a small brick. This is something the course could easily fix, making this a much more enjoyable round.
One last comment (it is what it is...) If you're looking for a course with a lot of natural setting, this isn't it. Most holes are cut between houses. There's separation with tree's and lakes, but you won't have many picturesque views. Solid course, but it is what it is.
Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links
Played On 10/21/2022No Complaints. One of the best in N.MB
It's on our Favorite's list. Our group has been coming to MB for the past 17 years. We played it for the 1st time in 2015 and loved it. With so many courses in MB, we try to mix it up, but we've played it 3X now and each time has been a great experience. While several holes are extremely challenging, it also has many forgiving holes as well. This course has beautiful vista's and you won't be disappointed views.
Panther's Run at Ocean Ridge Plantation

I was under the impression the “Cat Courses” were considered premier courses. We booked a last minute Hot deal tee time for $45. That’s about the maximum price anyone should pay for this course. There are weeds everywhere, the rough is very tall and uneven 4”-6” with larger weeds poking up. Greens are pretty good which keeps this course playable. Sand traps are washed out and hard packed. Cart paths are a mess. Our thought was they were letting this course go for a full renovation for next year, but I’m not so sure that’s the case. Do not pay the prices you may find posted (upper $80 to $90 in some cases) you will definitely have over paid!
Compass Pointe Golf Course
Played On 09/25/2017Great new course. Enjoyed the round. It was a Monday, so the course was not busy, but there were several singles our foursome let play through. 18th green is a "challenge", especially if you're above the hole!
