Aliante Golf Course
Played On 03/12/2019Very sparse, hard fairways
Glad we got a deal because regular price would not have been worth it . . .
Fairways were very hard with not a lot of grass.
Tee boxes were very hard as well.
Very difficult to hold the fairway on good shots because of sparse grass and natural slope towards the non-existent rough. If off the fairway, you were often playing on bare ground.
Lots of rocks in the sand, which meant lots of rocks on the fairly receptive greens. Greens got better after the first 5 or 6.

The Club at Starr Pass - Rattler/Coyote
Played On 11/06/2017Way Up There on my List
This is a challenging but fair course. A little bit of target golf but a beautiful setting. Many holes give you a beautiful view of the valley framed by mountains to the east.
Yes, I will be back!
Barrhead Golf Club
Played On 07/07/2016Well manicured; Tee boxes as good as many course greens.
Very enjoyable.
Every hole is unique and offers challenges. Very different experience form blue to white tees.
Subtle breaks in greens make a par a good score.
Holes 4 to 6 are the Amen Corner of this course with water, wind and trees coming into play.
I wish the pond was a factor from the whites on #9.
The course opens up the last 4 holes but the wind makes this a challenging finish.
Great rates. Bring a group for 2 dyas and enjoy the campground experience. But book ahead!
Raven Crest Golf and Country Club
Played On 07/04/2016Friendly staff; friendly course
The course was in very good condition. This course offers birdie opportunities but also demands that you think your way around the course.
I will be back.
Westlock Golf Club
Played On 06/23/2016Hit it straight!
This course has a few holes where local knowledge is of great help. Take one less club on #5. Stay right off the tee on #9. Don't be left of the green on second shot on #13.
There not many breaks on this course. Hit it straight and stay within your game. Whatever your handicap is, add 2 or 3 and call it good.
