A fairly expensive course but well worth the money. Normal 'in season' rate is $99, we paid $90 through GolfNow. The staff, from the cart boys to the on course marshal's to the pro-shop workers, are uber friendly and informative. Although we waited to play nearly every hole (we play quickly) the entire round was 4 hours and 10 minutes. The marshal came around periodically and let us know exactly what was going on and kept play moving along. The first two greens were a little bit beat up but from then on they were basically perfect! The best greens I've played on in the area, fast and smooth. The scenery and course layout are the best parts of the course. My playing partners, who were on the course for the first time, remarked that even if they weren't playing, they would have loved just riding around in the cart and enjoying the view it was such a scenic course. With 6 sets of tee boxes to choose from, you can make the round as difficult or as easy as you like. My handicap is a 4, and the white tees were just fine for me. The golf carts actually deserve to be mentioned also. They are brand new electric with VERY comfortable seats, ultra quiet and smooth. The GPS on them is accurate and has a touch screen so you can get distances to any hazard or target that you want. This course will continue to be number one on my list in the Sarasota/Bradenton area.

"In-season' rates in this area are expensive, usually $80+ at most courses. This course at $48 is a bargain. No it's not a perfect course. Some tee boxes need some help and a couple fairways have some bad spots, but the greens right now are fantastic! The best I've seen them in the 5 years I've been down here. The course layout is nice and plenty challenging. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this course.

After reading reviews I was eager to go play this course, even though it was almost an hour drive from my house. Our round at the course started on a sour note as the person taking our payment in the pro shop seemed to be having a bad day. No greeting and was too busy on the phone and walkie talkie to even acknowledge us, besides of course, taking our credit cards. Before booking our tee time I called the course to see if the greens had been aerated or top-dressed recently and I was assured that they had not been, and wouldn't be until June. Imagine our dismay when we arrived and found out that they had been punched and top dressed. Totally disappointed and angry that they had lied to us to get more business. A few of the tee boxes were very beat up, some brown areas in the fairways, but overall the course was acceptable. But it was definitely not worth the drive for the experience we received and I will not be back for another round.

We teed off on time and finished the round in 4hrs 5min, even though we waited a fair amount of time for the group in front. The course was in fantastic shape and I would definitely recommend it to everyone! The greens are the best that I've played on in the area. They are fast, hold shots, and very smooth. There are enough tee boxes to satisfy the best or worst golfers. Beware...there are some hidden ponds so pay attention to your GPS on the cart. Staff is very friendly!!

Misty Creek is my favorite course in the Sarasota area. The greens are fast but not hard, and hold shots well. Fairways and tee boxes are in excellent shape. The course has a variety of holes from mostly open to very narrow and challenging. Pace of play was great on the Saturday that we played, just less than four hours even though we waited at times. The staff is an added bonus, very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this course.
