Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club - South Course
Played On 06/26/2016My first and LAST
Greens were slow with large bare areas, most pins in other areas but not all. Edges of greens weren't mowed. Strange layout with awkward holes (#1 was strange) and #18 had a road crossing the fairway near the landing area. Ready to hit and cars suddenly crossing the fairway. Many holes cart path only for no apparent reason. For the money paid, I was extremely disappointed. I played the north course last year and liked it. I'll not play the south course again.

Played On 06/21/2016Awesome, great condition, great layout
I used to play here years ago and always loved the challenging layout. Lots of unique holes with great elevation changes. I had not been here in 4 years and was pleasently surprised to find a top notch clubhouse and A1 course conditions. Even though you could still see signs of aeration on the greens, they rolled fast, smooth, and true. And balls checked good too. They've taken out a lot of trees and it's in the best shape ever. Fairways are plush. If I had to nitpick anything negative, it's only that they didn't have water coolers out on the course. This is my favorite golf course of all time and I'm glad to see someone has put some money and effort to make it as great as it could be.
Lakewood Golf Club
Played On 06/20/2016Fun, good condition
Easy course, greens are soft and smooth and roll true. Tees and greens are in fantastic shape. Fairways are in really good shape especially considering how dry this area has been for months. The rough was dried out but to be expected with area conditions lately. Great fun, not difficult, interesting layout, and easy on the wallet.

Played On 06/10/2016More water than the Bassmasters
A couple days of rain and this course was soggier than oatmeal. Clumps of grass clippings everywhere, greens were like putting on a goat trail, and th bunkers looked like water hazards. I'm not saying there was a lot of standing water on the course, but when we checked in they said Bill Dance would be our guide and they handed us a bucket of minnows. It was hideous. Don't expect to make a putt longer that 1 foot. Leave your clubs at home and bring a snorkel.
