The course is on good property spread out and in improving condition. The Wests greens are better now than a few months ago. The staff is friendly and accommodating and if you need any supplies the Pro shop is stocked better than golf stores.

A pleasure to get out on one of SFL better courses available to JohnQ Public. Full parking lot Midday didn’t portend the speed of play. Finishing at or around 4 hrs,was a pleasant surprise as was the simple hellos given by the various rangers seen throughout the afternoon. Recommend playing with someone who may know where some of the holes are for direction to go in because you can’t always see that. Ice and cups are available as needed . Just remember to close the lid, Golfers, to keep the ice frozen and by all means please continue to take care of the course. It’s a rare golfing option out here!

The course is on a long journey of improvement. When they will get there,IDK.
9 holes of tee boxes are on major revamp and the forward placement of tees are ill placed and cuts off major Yardage from the course. With a bridge they have crossing to the 12th green, closes the 12th hole, you basically have 8 of 18 holes of normal holes.

It’s different than most east florida courses down here and that’s good. It’s got some marshes, some blind shots to the green , and some rolling fairways. Water isn’t an issue if you can control ur ball, or if you’ve played course before.
Played in 4 hrs. Staff could be a bit more welcoming .

The greens are atrocious 1,2,4,8 etc…
You have very few paths to the hole without disease, bare spots or weeds on your line.

With twenty seven holes and two courses the staff needs to control where golfers play. Today my threesome was confronted with 8 players on hole 8 of Cypress when they had not been visible for the first 7 holes.
Kid walked over and said they were directed to that side by staff. Unfair and foul. It caused pro tournament like delays for two holes and a feeling of a free for all.
No good today.
If they staff someone at the corner of the two courses, Somehow this can be controlled.

Traveled 90 miles to check it out from last playing it in 1999. A bit too much rain has softened fairways, but the greens were professional grade fast. Water is there to look at ,not really to get in your balls way.
A staff member mentioned he makes the same commute daily and I can validate what he said that there are no courses like it in Bwrd county.

This is a classic course coming back to its long awaited form. There’s no ranger and no cart girls on the Champ side. The City of Tamarac or the current owners should try to allocate the tee boxes to the appropriate player strength. Today saw me go out at 12:44 as a single w/o pairing up and between a threesome and Foursome. The three some had some Male learning how to play on the Champ along with his buddies. That’s a tough place to learn golf at 12:30 pm .luckily I got thru at hole 4 and finished in 4 hours.. With everything they are doing there at Colony, let’s utilize a support staff and get this thing in order.

They're doing a nice job maintaining the course. GREENS are in very good shape and it was nice to see lessons being given and people coming out late afternoon to play.
Saw the cart girl at least three times and thats more than i can say at many other courses.

Not ready for golfers, true golfers. Single paired up with a one handed swinging golfer with money, but no game. Was a five hr plus round. Saw no cart girl. Cafeteria matron gave snide remark about warm beer. First time playing there in ten years. Was expecting more improvements that I didn't see. No GPS, stalled out golf carts. Better than expected green From the rest of the course. From my memory I thought this would be a prestigious course, its not.
