The Golf Club at Bluewater Bay
Played On 07/29/2020Greens as fast as your carpet
I have played Bluewater Bay for years while coming to Destin for vacation. It has been sad to see the decline of this course over the years. What used to be 4 nines has now been whittled down to 2. The fairways were decent. The tees ok, but the greens were so slow. It was frustrating how slow they were and I did not get used to it until well into the back nine. Also, we had a backup on the back nine and were waiting on every shot for the last 5 or 6 holes. I am not sure why that was when there was a marshall out there.. It was a great price, so I did not regret playing there, but you get what you pay for. Also the driving range was closed and apparently. has been sold and will not re-open. Not sure if I will play there again.
Links at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort
Played On 07/26/2020Beautiful Course
This was a good deal with our Deal Time and 20% off. The weather was threatening on the back nine, but we got in the 18 without interruption. The only problem was we were in front of a twosome who were waiting most shots on a foursome that would not let them through. No marshal was on the course to help with that. The course is challenging from the blues and has some great views of the bay on a number of holes. Overall it was a really good experience. My one complaint was also mentioned in other reviews - the range had free balls, but it was irons only because it was not too long. And if the course was crowded, there were not too many spaces on the range and that would be a factor.
Players Club at Woodland Trails
Played On 8/15/2013The best public course in the Muncie area
The Players Club at Woodland Trails is challenging but fair. It is in very good condition and is by far the best public course in the Muncie area and probably in East Central Indiana. Take this course and put it in a metropolitan area and you could easily pay $60-$80 for an 18 hole round with a cart. This is a great value for the money! The only drawback about this course is that it is not a walking course. It goes through a neighborhood and for several holes there are long transitions from one green to the next tee.
