Thumbs up to Grayling CC

The course is worth playing if your in the area. $34 for a Sunday morning round is extremely cheap for northern Michigan. The staff was friendly, and the food was great.(try the best burger in town!)
The course itself is fairly flat, and varies from wide open holes, to heavily wooded holes, and to holes with water hazards. The 17th is right next to the Ausable river. For the price, I'd play it again

Hidden gem

Our group of 8 played this course on a Friday morning. We're treated well at the pro shop, bar/restaurant, and on the course. Staff very friendly. Golf course was in good shape, and I thought the front nine had the more scenic holes. A good golf experience

Golf at Michaywe

Our group of 8 played it twice over the first weekend of August. Tee boxes, fairways, sand traps, and greens were all in very good shape. If you play it early in the day, the greens roll fast, and true. Later in the day they slow down a bit from growing, and spike marks. If you're playing golf in Gaylord, try this course out.

Thumbs up for the Loon

Our group of 8 golfers played an afternoon scramble here, and had a great time. Everything was in good shape, and pace of play was alright. Loved the cheering from the restaurant deck as we tried to make one last birdie on the 18th green.

Play the Natural

The Natural was in great condition. I could tell that a lot of over growth has been trimmed back to restore the courses original look. Golf carts looked brand new. Paved golf cart paths looked brand new. Everyone there was friendly to us. Greens were a little slow, but consistent. Play this one if you get a chance. Up North golf with tight fairways, long carries over wetlands, and elevated tee boxes.

Tribute

Played it Thursday August 3rd. Tee boxes, sand traps, and fairways all good. Greens were a little rough in spots. Views from elevated tees make this course worth the $$.

very difficult course, with some strange holes. Play was Slow. Large stones in sand traps damaged clubs. There are numerous courses nearby that I will play instead of this one

awesome stay-n-play golf resort

Played all 4 courses. I've always thought the "signature" was their best course, and now that a $10 surcharge has been added to play this beauty, it was correct. LOTS of elevated tees, with gorgeous views of N.Michigan.
The "premier" would rank 2nd at the resort. Hilly, challenging, and a lot of fun to play.
The "masterpiece" would be 3rd on my list. This course has some of the most spectacular holes you'll ever see #especially holes1-11# , but it is VERY difficult. It's hard to score on.
"Tradition" would be 4th. an easy, flatter course then the others, but it's an oppurtunity to go low scoring wise, which may be needed after the other 3 brutes have beaten you up.
Threetops is a fun Par 3, but expensive
