Bear Creek Golf Club
Played On 08/05/2019Not worth it
The bunkers have little to no sand. The cart paths are so horrible nobody uses them! When we commented to the manager, a young man calling himself the manager, he said, "Well, you don't have to come back if you don't like it.!" Really? Not a great way to run a business. The MEMBERS of that club are greeted with pleasantries in the pro shop, but the rest of us barely get a word of welcome. There are many times when there are no tees, there are never towels in the cart, sometimes they have no golf carts when we show up, three times the cart battery went dead out on the course, once we had a flat tire, so no wonder they cannot keep staff or increase membership. The grill is great, the fairways are fine, greens are very nice, but everything else makes it difficult to enjoy the experience. Both "managers" are very young, one male one female, and have zero business sense, seldom smile, and just don't care if your experience is positive. This is the least expensive golf course on the Island, but you get what you pay for! Don't bother.

I really like this golf course. It is challenging for a player of my level, and it is beautifully planned and maintained. Even the food is good in the Grille (Lisa is extremely friendly). For the price, this is the best course around! Now, about the staff - they are sometimes rude, never smile (and I mean NEVER), missing (the YOUNG bag drop guys are never there when we arrive), and there is one young lady (redhead) who has become the brunt of our group's jokes as she is so unfriendly. Absolutely needs customer service training. Nobody working there seems happy AT ALL!
The Club has struggled over the past several years, and a good suggestion might be to address the unfriendly, unattentive, sometimes rude, sad-faced, unhelpful staff. Suggestions: Map of the course on the score cards; hand towel in the golf cart; distance code on driving range.
The heading of your review is " not worth it" yet you apparently have played it numerous times. I rely on these reviews in making course choices when travelling. so please give accurate reviews. Everyone else seems to have good experiences.
This guy must have played several times. He must really like the green fee. Of course he could play sea pines for 180 dollars. Maybe they will give him a hug
