Coyote Creek Golf Club - The Valley Course
Played On 06/10/2020Pruneridge Golf Course
Played On 02/04/2018Usual Nice Place to Play, when No Time for 18 Holes!
Played during the endlessSuper Bowl pregame ritual and first quarter, I was Almost alone on the course! Played twice, and still got to enjoy 3/4 of the game and halftime show. I should NOT RECOMMEND IT , so I can keep it for me to play with little wait time! The Eagles won, so it was a great allaround day!
Blackberry Farm Golf Course
Played On 11/18/2017As another player put it “ Blackberry Farm is really maintained well and it’s a great value for the price.”
I would concur. Only negative I can think of would be the tee box on #3 seems to often be under repair (with a plastic temporary tee on carpet). A good course for an hour and forty minutes for 9 holes.
Summitpointe Golf Course
Played On 05/26/2017Summit Point needs to Help Course Superintendent - Poorly kept Fairways!
I feel I am fair & objective, and not a snobby golfer.
Played every course from Spyglass/Olympic Club. TO Pruneridge lately.
Even had a good round, here, with a great round putting . . . 4 part saves, 2 birdies, 2 puts for eagle.
The greens here, were ok . . . But,
Compared to 2 other courses in the area, San Jose Muni and Sunnyvale Golf, . . . the fairways & rough at Summit Point were flat out poor!
The golfer finding the fairways after hitting a good drive will find their ball sitting on a dry patch of turf, lumpy mixed matched crab grass, or at times a fluffy puff of weedy crab grass. Does this course have trouble maintaining, the usual " Green BLADE GRASS" that is found on other nicer courses?
The overall look of the fairways look dried out in most areas . . Are they holding out on watering to keep an attractive lush appearance? We are out of the previous water rationin aren't we?
If Not For The "GolfNow VIP", our twosome agreed, this wold not of been a value at all. And he was more vehement than I about Not returning!
Avoid this course, unless you are in practice mode, and get a good green fee!

Sunnyvale Municipal Golf Course
Played On 05/22/2017Sunnyvale Muni
Is in better than usual shape. Greens good to great, fairways lush. An occasional " casual water " areas, but a good trade to see fairways so lush.
Had a 4-hour 18-holes, w/ a fast 4-some in front of our 3, going to 2-some after #2, yet they were never in our way! Nice round of golf!
Only complaint, was that our "hot deal" was only available @ 12:37 or 1:00 pm . . . We like to start EARLIER, say 8:30am, but the price made our decision. A 55 + "Senior Rate" would also bring me out more, (60 in August, lol!).
Oh, another minor issue. Wish Sunnyvale had a driving net or "cage" (no driving range), just so we can take full swings at balls to warm up!

Rancho San Marcos Golf Course
Played On 01/25/2014Lot of Dried Out Fairways due to Drought
First of all, The price was great (GolfNow - $59) and the greens were abive average. The couse layout was fine. But, Dry, Brown, desert-like everywhere! We didn't have time to go anywhere nice (1:45 pm) with just enough time to finish 18 holes. If this course was able to receive a lot of rain and "reseeding & TLC" I've heard it's a very nice course! Well, I won't hold my breath and make this a last choice for now. Club house guy was nice and accomodating. . . Yiu can't drive yourcart to the parking lot. . .kinda a pain!
