I’ve played TR for years now but it seems to be getting worse as time goes on. Greens are like putting on carpet with a lot of bald spots. Rough is getting out of hand with crab grass as well. Pretty much a “get what you pay for” kind of course.

I used to be a big fan of SR. It seems like it’s been steadily going down hill for the last couple years though. The people who work there are great but the course was in terrible condition. Any fairway lie is basically hitting off hard dirt and the greens are basically compacted sand/dirt that don’t even roll properly. Tough to see this here.

They have really let this place go. Lost close to 6 balls in the rough today. Greens are in rough shape. Some of the fairways can be confused with the first cut of rough. It’s sad to see what used to be a nice course. If you can play here for $15, it might be worth it as a practice round.

Type of course that you know you won’t be blown away by but expect it to be a little nicer. Range was in poor condition, as well as the tee boxes for the tips. Also, they put us out as a twosome in the middle of a scramble tournament. This led to waiting on every hole and for a 5 hour round. Very friendly people there, so would go back again once they clean it up

First off, if you’ve played Baytree before, then you know what you’re getting into. But today was a whole new treat. We started off our morning tee time on a busy day behind a group of FIVE. With thunder and lightning all around us, we were able to get in a few holes before we decided we shouldn’t be risking our lives out there playing and waiting for the lighting sirens to go off. Turns out the system was broken, so nobody knew. Once we returned to the clubhouse under our own choosing, we were basically belittled for coming back in and being smart. The starter and pro shop attendant both told us we were fine to go out while there was lightning and thunder cackling all around us. Once we tried to go back out, they had us start a few holes later which was fine. Once we made the turn and got to the 12th green, we were approached by the head pro who told us to pick up the pace. This would normally be fine but the group of old men behind us were playing from the front tees and playing a SCRAMBLE. The head pro decided he would keep making us play faster by continuing to sit in front of us in the fair way on the next two holes and be right in our line of sight just out of reach on all of our shots and then also right by the green. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. I’ve never had a fun round ruined quicker than today. It wasn’t until he found out they were playing a scramble behind us from the front tees and we were busting our butt to stay ahead of them (and catchup with a twosome two holes ahead). What a way to ruin a round than to continually pressure a foursome to play ahead of a normal pace for guys playing a scramble during a normal day of golf. Not sure if I’ll be back after the way today was handled.

I honestly really like this course, so I only rated this low due to the current conditions. There's been so much rain the past 3 weeks, that the course was pretty much exactly what you'd think after that much rain. There was no difference between the rough and fairways, so sometimes finding your ball in the fairway was tough with the tall grass and ball plugging. The greens were very nice though, as they were recently redone. The course could definitely use some help with bunkers and greenside, but overall this course is pretty good, depending obviously on the recent weather conditions.

I paid $58 with $10 being towards range balls for a 9:45am tee time. The range was basically dirt/sand with a few patches of grass in there. The course was fair but found ourselves in dirt lies in the fairway and around the greens. I would play here again but this is more of a $25 course at most. Staff was friendly but no cart service on the course.
