The greens were in great shape even though tough slopes and tricky pin positions, they rolled very true. I do wish players would fix their ball marks, it's a problem here in Arizona, I do not understand it but there it is. The course is a bit long for an old dude like me but I'm ok with bogey golf. It is a fun track. The only negative is that the tee boxes are pretty torn up.

Had a great time with some other first timers. Did not score well because of the lack of course knowledge, you should know where to hit the ball off the tee to be able to reach the greens in regulation. The look off the tee box is a wide open fairway but the truth is you can easily be in a bad position to reach the green. Still, great course & well maintained.

First time here, very friendly staff. A little pricey, even with golf now, but an upper tier course. Pretty nice overall but over 100 degree day but plenty of water on the course.

New course for me, paired with some regulars, very helpful and fun to play with. Course was in excellent condition and was very happy to not have to pay for range balls.It is quite challenging for an older player so I guess I need to move to the forward tees to carry the rather long desert areas.

I'm sorry to say I will no longer be playing here, it totally sucked, hardly any grass on most fairways and playing off dirt is no fun. The course already is tight with too many grass bunkers but now they are nearly impossible to miss because of the condition of the fairways. The greens were pretty good once able to get on them.

First I did not realize this was a par 3 course, my bad, did not read the stats closely, just needed a round quickly in the Scottsdale area. I debated playing it once I arrived because 85 bucks is a lot for me. My playing partner was really wanting to get a break and play, so I decided to go ahead. BUT once on the course to have the greens bumpy as the moon's surface was so disappointing. We had a good time and shared a drink at the 19 hole but the golf was awful, par 3's are about the putting but at this time for this money - forget about it.

I would like to know if a tournament is being played at a course I am looking to play when on golf now. We followed a morning tournament and suffered behind some very slow foursomes for 5hr 30min on a hot hot day. Really impacts the fun factor. I play here often and like the course and the price was great but actually not worth it to wait on every shot when the guys in front of you do things like spend 20 min talking to the cart gal trying to pick her up, driving to the furthest ball and then coming back toward us to hit another ball. They would wait on a green to clear when it was 250 yards away after hitting a 125-150 yard drive!! Young and dumb or just inconsiderate, I do not know, might have had something to do with what they were smoking. More marshalling is needed when the course is full and players do not understand the rules of golf. We sat back from the t box and watched them top two or three balls each, Just very frustrating, GET A LESSON and learn the etiquette of golf and after four or five poor hits on a par 4, pick up the ball and go to the green!

I love this course and would play it more if I could afford it but such is life. My one and only complaint is Lake 8 needs bunkers to stop the ball from rolling into the rocks. Even a good t shot in the center of the fairway will roll down the hill. Oh, one other thing, the bunkers were baked hard this day and a difficult shot greenside, could use some fluffing up.

Had some difficulty finding a good pace on the greens so the front nine was a little disappointing. Not the course but the player sad to say. Nicely laid out for an older high handicap player, so I had a good time playing with a couple of other singles. Greens were in pretty good shape for winter and the fairways were in great condition. The traps were shallow and heavy, difficult to hit from, had to putt out a couple of times, not the best.

I've played here a few times and always enjoy my round. I personally do not play the course very well, it does not fit my eye and challenges my skills, which are not that great to begin with. It has been a year since I have played because of health challenges and I am just getting back on the course. I broke 100 for the first time since coming back and had a really great time with a couple of guys I joined up with. The greens were pretty rough and needed attention but this course was in overall good shape.

I like this gc, it seems to be a great layout and challenge for an old guy like me. There are enough differences in tee boxes to give me a chance against the big hitters. I do indeed play forward and can get greens in regulation on this design. Putting is not terribly difficult but the subtle movements in the well maintained greens make it interesting.and a bit frustrating. (If were easy it wouldn't be as much fun.)

It was a fun and quick round but the reason I was able to get around in 3.5 hrs was that there were very few players due to the fact that the greens had been punched. Not the needle punch either, a traditional large bore punch but I will say they still rolled pretty well because we had some monsoon rain which moved the sand into the holes. However, this is why the greens are usually the best in my course rotation of 12 courses. Lots of fun none-the-less.

I enjoy this course and the friendly folks who run the place. It is always a fun round.

My wife and I walked the course and enjoyed about everything about it except the goose poop and the water hazards which really require a lot of course knowledge to avoid.

I've played this course a few times because it is convenient for me. I noticed the price has gone up of late and it appears they are working on improving the fairways. The greens are in pretty good shape and this course will challenge all parts of your game.. Hopefully the improvements will succeed.

I have now played this course several times and enjoy it each time. However, the greens are as tough as they are well cared for. They roll true and are very fast and firm so my putting skills, or lack thereof, are unveiled. Every aspect of my game is challenged here and although frustrating it raises my game to new levels. This was my first round here during which I did not lose a ball, that is a huge breakthrough for me and although I did not score well, a 90 this round, it was mostly due to the 35 putts.

Tough course with lots of challenging holes and more bunkers than grass it seems. Lots of desert intrusion from time to time which makes one think about the shot and the risk reward it brings. Very difficult greens, my weakest area of play. I do think that if I played the course a half dozen times I could shoot a mid 80's round but I am not sure I would pay the usual higher fees in order to do that. I really liked the fact that they had ice and water machines at each toilet facility on the course, I wish other higher end courses did that as well, very nice.

This is the 5th or 6th time I've played Sundance and it is definitely a challenge for me, to dang proud to play up front where I might have a chance to score. Anyway the fairways were in great shape and I always both love and loathe the greens, love the shape they are in and the way they roll, loathe the roly poly difficult reads. I'm reminded that golf is hard and 99% of the people you meet on the course are wonderful to play with. Some folks do not like the occasional intrusion of desert into the fairway, but I like the way it makes one have to think about the shot and the risk/reward needs to be calculated before banging away at the ball. I recommend this course to any handicap, have fun.

The greens are getting a bit stressed and need some attention but I still enjoy this course. The layout works for my eye and I shot an 81, which is the best I have played since moving to AZ 7 months ago. Great value for the money and I partnered up with a couple of great guys and we just had a good time.

My wife and I played and had a really good time. OK practice area, friendly staff and a course with a lot of challenge but fair. As long as one keeps the ball in or near the fairway, you can score. Get out of position and you get hammered. A hard par and an easy bogey, just as it should be.My wife who plays infrequently had a great time and the forward tees were positioned to allow her to complete, I really like that. Lots of fun, highly recommended.
