Waxahachie Golf Club

I have played this course hit and miss since I cancelled my membership about 25 years ago. It was still a nice club (private back then). Played it a couple of years ago and it wasn’t as good as I remember, but I still saw some old faces out there. Went this last SUNDAY, again SUNDAY. Got there around noon. The grill was already closed, at NOON ON SUNDAY. My son and I walked up to o the 18th green, and decided to make other plans. I’m actually so saddened and upset at the same time, I’m considering buying it, unless Chance B. beats me too it. It’s salvageable but, it’ll be at a salvage price.
Frisco Lakes Golf Club
Played On 10/12/2022Use GolfNow.. call the club and save $$?
The course was in decent shape considering the summer we had. They we’re doing some aerificatiin on several areas, no biggie. Our tee time was a little after 4, we got put behind 2 foursomes of wakers (high school team) they slowed us up quite a bit. They should have told us that we were going to be waiting on every hole for the entire front 9. I should’ve taken the advice of the guy that check us in at the pro shop and just call the pro shop instead of using GolfNow because I got charged extra fees that I wouldn’t have got if I just book directly through them. Me and my son played nine holes and it cost us $90 which is ridiculous. Next time I’ll just use the GolfNow app to find the teatime and then call the golf course directly and save 15%, but I think that may be against the rules I don’t think the club at Frisco lake supposed to be doing that.

Played On 08/03/2016Fazio does not disappoint!
I have been dreaming of playing Barton Creek since I started playing golf 25 years ago. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I found out the original course, "Foothills", was closed for maintenance. Oh well, I guess I'll have to get someone to twist my arm to come back.
We were able to play the Fazio Canyons, apparently quite lucky! I highly suggest checking on tee times, for whatever course you choose to play!! Apparently, Thursday is members only on that course. We got a heck of a deal on Wednesday twilight for $120!
The course layout is stunning! You feel like every hole is a complete solitary experience, no parallel fairways, no worries about someone's bad shot being in the way of your good shot (and vice versa). The greens had just been top dressed maybe a week before, but they rolled true, and held well!
The range is a range, no bells and whistles. The pro shop is a temporary trailer, which is not a big deal if you are staying at the resort. Use the free shuttle!!
I highly recommend staying at the resort and taking advantage of the amenities and the discount you get for golf. I hit the whirlpool and steam before I played, and I was feeling quite relaxed!
The course is fair and a good test, driver is not always the best choice off the tee, and if you hit a poor shot, don't be greedy!Take your medicine, or this course will eat you alive, especially on the back 9!
Coyote Ridge Golf Club
Played On 07/16/2014Not bad, but not great
It felt like two different designers did the front and back nine. The front is very straightforward, the back is cut up and very tricky. It feels like they were running out if real estate on the back 9 and just squeezed it in there. The holes on every green looked like they had been there a while (very worn). Overall, we had fun and it's worth playing.
Frisco Lakes Golf Club
Played On 06/16/2014Great course
My son and I had a great time at Frisco Lakes. The course was great, greens were true. The only problem is that if you've never been there, the course locator is wrong. It's about a 1/2 mile south of that, off of Anthem Drive.
