The good
Lots of Staff to Help and ask questions and the are helpful and polite.
Check in went smooth.
Course was in great shape, greens fast and fair just a little bumpy at end of day but not bad.
Best Tee boxes I have seen maybe ever.
Fairways are in great shape
Looks like all the maintenance is being done nothing broken or looking beat up..

The need a little work
Signs and directions, For a first timer was not very clear on check in location and what area to go to pick up cart.
Not huge just minor but plays into enjoyment.
On course directions ,I was lucky enough to play with a regular but if not for that it would of been hard to find some of the next tee boxes. Course cross back and forth on itself and other courses. Maybe color code or mark cart path would help.
The cart I was given still had trash in it from previous round.

Overall
Enjoyed it and would go back.
I see this as a course the more you play the more you will enjoy it.
Was fun without much course knowledge and it does not eat golf balls.
Was maintained well especially with the amount of players present that day.

Also liked the fact tons of kids all over playing and working that is so much what we need in this sport.
Honestly everyone had a smile

Was a fun course to play.
Had some nice challenges and some scenic holes.
Course was in great shape greens and fairways well maintained.
Tee boxes a little rough but not bad.

The greens are on the small side but adds a good challenge.

Overall it is a play again course.

I want to like it I do I do.

It is a cool layout ,Most of the holes can be good or very good.

But the property is old and beat up.

Bunkers are rocky and have concrete in them instead of sand. well feels like concrete.
Fairways always have water and soggy. Drainage is a bad word on this course. and the water smells don't touch it ever. comes of the hill.

Cart paths are so bad it is better to drive thru the woods.

It needs a overhaul and upgrade bad.

The staff is always friendly and I have never had a issue with them.

Just with so many course in this price range I can find one in better condition.

I keep hoping for some dollars to be spent.

Guys get a beer cart, keep the turn open, get a cooler when we check in. something

It is like pulling teeth to get a drink in the afternoon during the week, Help a guy out.

Food and bar staff always seem understaffed and running around in circles. Taps were down, come on, food took 40 min.

Step up your game in those areas and it would be a top notch course.

The course is great.

Course is huge so many options on shot placement

Only down side bunkers suffer from typical bunker issues these days and they have a lot of them.
Maintain or remove your bunkers guys.

Will play again and again at this course.

Garbage under trees/bushes floating in the water.

Needs a lot of work

The rough was good if you are in it you pay the price.

The layout was fun and made you place your shots.

Considering the course was covered in snow the day before the course was perfect.

Fairways pretty soggy but playable.
Greens still bumpy from aeration.
Course was not very busy pace of play was perfect.

I have never seen so much animal feces in my life.
We had deer ,dog, skunk ,rabbit ,coyote , and the normal goose.
It was all over the course I was never more then 2 feet from a pile or piles of something. It actually interfered with my ball a half dozen times.
Staff was unfriendly to me and other guests coming in to check in.
Fairways are tight, and worn .
Greens are about the size of a kids swimming pool.

This was a enjoyable course.
It was well maintained. Fairways require you to be pretty accurate.
Bunkers are in good shape with decent sand.
Staff was present and friendly. We had a ranger driving around and a few holes keeping a eye on things.
The greens are smooth quick and true.
I enjoyed my experience and would go again with out second thought.

The bunkers need to be taped off and condemned.

No sand in them, But lots of rocks. Not interested in chipping my clubs up.
Yes, we have not had rain in about 3 weeks but it was like green painted concrete out there.
Staff was very friendly did a nice job.
Layout is fine a little narrow but workable. would be fine if the gravel pits for bunkers did not come into play all over.
overall would not play again until word came out of bunkers being redone.

Could be a very nice course with some effort.

club house was nice, One negative clean and update your bathrooms.

Overall a nice course, will go back every year. It is a 1.5 hr. drive so that is saying something.

Rough was a fair punishment for errant shots. A little sticky from the rain but fair.

Bunkers had a crust on them but weather was not ideal night before and that morning.

Overall I enjoyed my round and enjoyed the course. Was a good looking course in its own way and would enjoy playing it again.

Ok, Staff was nice.

Weather started out well. Then a dense fog rolled in. I suspect from all the watering that morning and rain the night before. Course was soggy and I had a hard time tracking the ball.
So with that in mind.

Fairways soggy and beat up.

Tee boxes covered in old tees and destroyed.

They need a chainsaw party to open up the fairways some. Have a hard time getting a decent angle off the Tees. I like a challenge but should be able to have a workable shot off the tee.

Greens are in great shape and rolled perfect.

It must be a local thing but twice I had guys in my fairway just hitting a ball randomly towards me. Opposite direction of play. They were warming up or just practicing. Never seen that before so not so much fun.
It was a shame but by the end of the round I had enough and was just looking to leave.

Tried to like it. tried to keep a open mind with the fog. Was kind of interesting until the other issues sunk the fun. especially other players in my fairway for no good reason. come on guys.

Not only was it a fun course to play with a few surprising long holes but a good looking course as well.
The course was very well maintained the greens ran perfect speed and are in great shape.
I would say very close to the best 9 hole course I have played.
So glad I made the trip out will make it a go to course every year.

I have played this course a few times.
It has always been in good condition.
Offers a few nice risk reward holes and is just a fun course to play.

When i First arrived staff was friendly and helpful load up my bag why I checked in.
After check in I talked to the starter for a few and got a run thru of the course. which basically came down to don't go left and stay in the fairway. LOL, yep thanks

Course was interesting nice layout from hole to hole used the nice elevation changes thru out the course. Not many courses have that in chicagoland. Greens ran true and smooth.

Pace of play was normal for a resort course on a holiday weekend ,Sloowish

They need a better sign to point to the 10th hole .

Had food and drink after and was tasty and not unreasonably priced.

Practice area was well maintained.
Getting to the first Tee for first timers took a little looking.

The starter gave us the course 411 after a friendly greeting nice guy. The told us 15 hundred times how fast the greens would be that day because of the club championship. All i can say is he warned us and i think my first putt is still rolling along someplace. WOW greens like table tops it was impressive . By hole 5 i got the speed and loved it would play that way all the time if i could.
Course is nice , good elevation changes, good condition,great greens, pace of play was fast so nice.
enjoyed everything about this course no downside for me.

Just a nice little Muni course nothing fancy . It is a well maintained and a nice easy round of golf. staff was friendly had a good day of golf on a good course.

Upon arrival you drop your bags park a good distance away and drag your bag thru a lobby to the back of the building.

Then you go back in and check in. not bad just awkward.

Cart was clean but Gps system was acting off was confused about what course we where on.

Staff was nice it was very busy and they moved everyone very well and kept us informed.

As most courses these days the bunkers are horrible. The course was tight with a good amount of trees guarding a wayward shot.

Fairways and greens are in good shape I could have done with out the goose presents on some of the holes.

The greens are a nice challenge with some good reads needed to putt well.

other then some folks playing from our fairway and a good amount of folks yelling fore it was not bad. Just have other courses that are not as cramped and just as well maintained to play.
