I am a hacker visiting from the left coast....this course has very generous fairways in very good shape. Greens were easy to read. Practice area was convenient and in excellent shape . Pro shop staffer was top shelf Personally assured that I got a cart when one became available after the morning rush. Even Ice cold water at two stops on the course!

Great course conditions. Very fast greens made it very challenging. Can't beat the scenery and the variety of hole layouts. Over the years, I have played all the courses in Tucson area available to general Public. I moved out of state 5 yrs ago.. I will always choose Ventana any time I get close to the old pueblo.

The course is challenging. I read a past review that the course is like Target Practice due to the exacting nature of how shots need to be planned. But it was a lot of fun, and I have a 20-23 handicap. Bring extra balls! Some greens were very dry. Lots of peripheral grasses not getting watered, but that will not impact 97% of play. Staff and the Views were great!
