Coyote Hills Golf Course
Played On 01/11/2024A Challenge
Bring your four letter repertoire to this course. Payne Stewart might have gotten his first name here. But seriously it’s a fun challenging course. The staff is terrific as well as the bar and food. Definitely want revenge and I’ll be back!

Played On 06/23/2023Worth the Trek
Always liked this desert course. A good target course with lots of desert wildlife. Every hole is a different challenge, from elevated greens to over water to deep traps. All in a beautiful desert environment. Pricey now but worth the occasional trek!
Los Lagos at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/27/2022Holiday Challenge
Los Lagos is the more challenging of the Two adjoining courses at Costa Mesa. Greens are in great shape, fast and undulating. Fairways are the issue-bald spots and choppy.
One nice thing to mention here. Los Lagos celebrates the Christmas spirit with fair prices.. Most courses in the area around the Christmas holidays celebrate gift giving by giving their loyal customers the shaft!
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us, Ralfiesta. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Los Lagos at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.

Used to play these courses alot. Both were in much better shape at half the price. Now even the greens are challenging due to so many divots.

Arizona Grand Resort
Played On 10/13/2021Not for the Timid
Some players say the course is tricked up. It is somewhat because it’s layed out through a myriad of homes, on a mountainous terrain, along canyons and ponds. It is always slow because it’s a very difficult course in a resort with first time golfers there on vacation. So play and relax. Admire the surrounding mountains. Expect a 5 hour round and have fun on a challenging course.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!

Played On 12/13/2020Social Golf Course
Par three course gets a lot of play by beginners, which is fine but makes for slow play. It doesn’t help that there is no ranger. Greens are excellent except that no one repairs divots. Gone are the days when you received a course logo divot tool when you checked in; you were always reminded to repair divots and sometimes given a demonstration on a box of sod on the counter. It’s a great course if you like to drink beer and socialize without concern for your score.
Desert Canyon Golf Club
Played On 12/01/2020SCENIC CHALLENGE
The course has a good variety of holes with both elevated and lower level greens. The fairways are well maintained and the greens run fast and true. One of the best things about the course are the views. Great homes, distant mountains and valleys, mountain and desert landscapes make for a beautiful challenging day.

Played On 10/24/2020Great Scenery During a Challenging Round
Always liked this course. Never too pricey and always in good shape. Many elevations to deal with but it makes the surrounding mountain scenery spectacular. Pace is variable. Some tight fairways and undulating greens. Have a beer on the patio after a fun round!
Camelback Golf Club - Padre Course
Played On 10/13/2020Great Scottsdale Course
Camelback is not an exceptional course but it is definitely challenging. They do a great job of keeping it in great shape. It is pricey. But you won’t feel cheated. It is just interesting enough. Centrally located . Great clubhouse. Good people. Good food. A class act.

Great variety of holes. Doglegs and different elevations. Greens are in great shape and hold well. Fairways are narrow and not for the faint of heart. And the price is right! Good times!

The Nayar Course at Vidanta Nuevo Nayarit-Vallarta
Played On 05/27/2019Playing a Mexican Postcard
I played this course years ago when it was the Mayan Palace course. They have poured a lot of money into it, adding flowers and trees everywhere. They have cleaned up the many lakes which are now pristine with birds, turtles and iguanas in abundance. The fairways are wide and lush. Although the course has its challenges, it is not a difficult course. The women’s tees are far forward and mostly avoid hazards. Our caddie spoke excellent English and was knowledgeable. Be sure to get a golfnow rate as it can be pricey. And enjoy a scenic round!
The Legacy Golf Club
Played On 04/09/2019Slow Play, Questionable Desk Staff
We have played this course often and have never had an issue. This round we were NOT told of a tournament in front of us. Play was excruciatingly slow. An hour and a half for 4 holes- actually we had teed off on the fifth and called for a refund. They said ok to a voucher. Back at the clubhouse we were then reprimanded and told that we were experiencing a normal round—so 6 hours is a normal round there? Never was before. So we got the voucher minus the 4 holes that we had played!! What class!
Thank you for your review! We're pleased that you enjoyed our course but we apologize that the pace of play was slow. This is not the type of experience we strive to provide for our guests and we appreciate your feedback. We hope to have you back again soon for your next round with us!
Ocotillo Golf Club - White/Gold
Played On 03/05/2019SURF & TURF
Or should I say surf & sand. Lots of both. Everyone loses balls in the many water holes. A beautiful course with varied layouts. Great scenery, nice homes and ducks gone wild! A challenging course for anyone. Every shot becomes more important than the last one. Worth the trip and greens fees.
Power Ranch Golf Club
Played On 03/09/2018Not worth playing for half the price!
This course is way overpriced. Don’t waste your time on this track, especially if you are looking for an Arizona experience. No scenery. No elevation. No creativity . I’ve played almost every course in the valley and I don’t think they could make enough changes to make me play it again. It was like playing summer conditions at a time when other courses are in their best shape. Little grass on the fairways. No grass anywhere off the fairways. No sand in the traps. The only redeeming quality was having a cold beer in a nice clubhouse with friends after the suffering ended. Im not being negative, just honest; I think any other course in the valley would be more enjoyable.
Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Estates Course
Played On 01/19/2018Good for what it is
The Adobe course is a traditional flat course. It has ample traps and tree obstructions that make it challenging. The course is in good shape. However Arizona has so many spectacular courses that offer so much more, with elevations, views, and challenges that a flat landscape can’t offer. Overall I recommend this inner city course for practice before playing on more professional courses around the valley.
McDowell Mountain Golf Club
Played On 08/02/2017Look for Specials and follow a great one's footsteps.
Used to play this course a lot before it became overpriced. That being said they sometimes have deals. The course is in good shape and the mosquito problem seems to have been taken care of. The course is varied enough to make it interesting with undulating fareways and elevations through the valley. Traps are well maintained and strategically placed, sometimes saving a ball from going into a culvert. The views are stunning, especially Camelback mountain in the distance. Phil Michelson did a good job of remodeling this course and it's always fun to follow the footsteps of a great one!
Thanks so much for your wonderful review, Ralfiesta. We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your time with us. Please visit again soon. Thanks for choosing Las Sendas Golf Club!
