For Pala, the course was average...have seen it a little worse and several years ago, much better. Fairways have burned out areas, moveable sprinklers running on multiple fairways, sometimes stopping the rollout of a drive when the ball runs into it. Greens were medium and generally rolled ok. ProShop was downsized even from last fall. An infusion of cash and a skilled superintendent would bring this course back into great shape in a minute. Bunkers were hard dirt/sand.

The course, including greens is in good shape. The course is a great layout, would be difficult to walk due to several really long green to tee distances, carts are also in need of maintenance...the covers for the club washer stations are missing on most, allowing the dirty club washing water to spill out on the passenger side golf bag.. The only downsides right now...cart paths are partially missing and the resulting hardened earth is pretty bumpy...would be an awesome upgrade to have true cart paths all the way around. Secondly, there are no bathrooms at all on the front nine....would be great to have some, the only option is to hurry into the clubhouse at the turn.

The course was in pretty good condition for late summer. The greens were awesome, rolling fast and true. The fairways were a bit spotty, and they were preparing for overseeing. We have played here several years ago and the course is in much better condition than the last time we played it. The play was slow, took us 5 hours to get around....short wait on almost every hole. Overall, the course was in much better condition than many others in the area charging more.

We’ve played here a number of times over the past four years. Based on other ratings, it sounded like the course had improved. The tee boxes were in pretty poor shape, with crabgrass and sand making up most of them. The greens were in good shape except where some patron apparently took their anger out on the green. We love the layout, just wish the grass and the teeboxes were in better shape.

We played 6 holes in just over 2 hours. There was a shotgun tournament this morning. At our tee time, several groups from the tournament went out in front of us, They played so slowly we waited at least 10 minutes on each hole. The group in front of us finally finished on hole 12, we were able to play the last 6 holes in an hour and 15 minutes. The course itself was in really poor shape, many temporary tee boxes that were like hitting out of rough, some had been partially mowed, sort of. The greens were ok, but the speed was in consistent. We liked playing Pala before. The parking lot pot holes have gotten larger also. Too bad.

Course was a tiny bit dry. Not bad for the end of summer. Pace was good. Very enjoyable

Course is emerging from overseeding and fall maintenance. Greens were for the most part rolling true. Fairways are coming around. Really nice course/layout for all levels of golfers.

Having played over the summer, we were surprised that the course had so many bad spots. Most tee boxes were either devoid of grass completely or had patches of crab grass. Granted they had been recently punched. Some fairways were better than others. Also the "fried areas" that developed over the summer had visibly worsened. Would still recommend the course, but maybe check with the pro shop re: conditions. Greens were slow, but in relatively good shape. Love this layout.

We got off to a good start, but quickly came to a grinding halt. Talked with the pro shop, they sent someone out. The pace picked up a bit, but fell completely apart again on the backside. This would not have been so bad, if all played ready golf. The course would benefit from marshaling starting on the back side.

we always RAVE about the pace of play at Arrowood, of all the public courses we play it is always good. Today, no marshal and a really disrespectful 4 some in front of us. Course is in great shape. Too bad there are such knuckleheads that pay their money and have no "golf sense", wish there was a way to educate those new to golf about the etiquette that should be observed to allow all a pleasant day on a great course

What a beautiful course. The round was marred however, by the really slow pace of play. There was no marshaling at all. Greens were receptive, however at the end of the round (5 hours) the last 3 holes were really slow. The maintenance crew seemed to be attached to our group!, they mowed even the dirt! Was dusty on several holes. I would recommend, for the experience of playing this venue, but be prepared for a really really slow round.

Greens were good, except for ball marks, wish everyone would fix their mark on the green. Greens were accepting shots, and for the most part holding. Some brownish spots on some fairways, but overall in great shape for this time of year and our hot weather. Dave the starter is just awesome and makes arriving at the course a pleasure. Wish every course had a Dave. Grounds crew were hard at work, and course is well cared for
