Decent course marred by poor management

Unfortunately, as with most GolfNorth courses, Fergus has slid into disrepair through lack of maintenance. From tee blocks that are so poorly misshapen and riddled with divots you quite literally cannot find a level patch of grass to stand on, to sand traps either abandoned and left to grass over or so full of silt and mud there is no longer sand to play off, to pro shop facilities that have needed updating for more than a decade and are still left to age poorly, to cart "paths" so badly rutted and graded you have to slow to a crawl to ride over sections, the entire course is decaying into oblivion.
What makes Fergus even less pleasant is the incompetence and lack of organization of marshalls and course staff. Routinely there are groups being sent off 15-20 minutes early "because they've arrived and are ready to go", which causes needless backups when other groups are then sent off on their correctly schedule tee times. Marshalls and staff take no interest in managing "the turn" to ensure golfers follow the proper rotation between the three 9-hole courses. Today we were "asked" by the marshall to let a group of golfers start their back nine in front of us (while we were waiting on the 10th tee block for the group in front of us to advance). We were following our rotation, the other golfers just decided they wanted to play a different back nine.
Nine-hole players are also simply "inserted into the schedule" ahead of or behind eighteen-hole players, throwing scheduling and the flow of play into further chaos.
Marshalls do not bother to circulate through the course to identify slow play, and the course is so understaffed they can't even get broken golf carts repaired and back on course so people who booked a cart can actually use one.

Sad to have watched the decline of a once-nice course over the years. Frankly I've had my fill of their mis-management.
