This is a mountain course and it comes with all the challenges that environment brings. From course maintenance and the player. Most holes have at lest one blind shot, discounting the par 3's. The beauty surrounding the course makes it pretty. Overall - the course is not fair.

Spacing out tee times further apart to allow players more time on the course without feeling rushed. Another option is to stagger tee times strategically, taking into account the pace of play and ensuring there is enough time between groups to prevent overcrowding on the course. Somehow, (and I'm not sure how,) educating golfers about golf course etiquette and the importance of maintaining a good pace of play can contribute to a smoother experience for all players. And please stop letting 5 in a group go out! Golf courses can help alleviate the issue of tee times being too close together and enhance the overall enjoyment of the game for everyone involved.

I’m a local to the area and thought I would play around on crab farms which I don’t get to very often because of the price. So this round was 60 bucks, and I believe it’s because I had just aerated and there were some repairs being done on the course. They did a good job of aerating the greens and overlay in sand but I made them not as desirable. And since most of your strokes are on the green, I just wasn’t much of a day for golf.

Was looking forward to a midweek day on the course. A 5 party group took off at 12:10. The group behind was having no part of that so they went off the back nine. We waited past our 12:20 tee off time but the 5 were still on the green???? No starter to monitor at tee time. Course was fun though. Wide fairways. Hope you have a quicker say

I last played this course 25 years ago and considered it a challenge then. The layout seems different now.. With old growth trees and many blind shots, this course is still the toughest public course in Des Moines.

Glen Lakes is a good course. They have made improvements that have made a difference. Always friendly staff. Kind of a neighbors hood course.

7:45am. The pace was good even though there was a fivesome in front of us. Must’ve been owners. challenging course requires some good shots. Play it in you’ll enjoy it!

Has a country, small town course feel. On a few holes the fair ways come close to the on coming tee boxses. An errant tee shot could wound someone. Challenging small greens.

This course was in the best condition of the year in my estimation. Greens were solid and held well, putt pace was consistent albeit a little slow. Fairway's were in great shape which isn't easy because of the incessant temperatures here with very warm nights. Fun round of golf.
