Cousre takes for EVER to play!

I played this course on 11/ 11/14, while the course was really nice the management needs to pay more attention to how many people it puts out on the course per hour! We arrived 30 minutes for our 10:45a tee time and were promptly told they were at least 30 minutes behind. They even ran out of Karts!!!! So we were about 45 minutes late starting. Once out on the course it was really slow going having to wait at every hole, the round took us over 6 hours to play. We spoke to several marshals that were out of the course and they tried to move people along but didn’t succeed very much. The only way we were able to finish before dark was that many groups went home without finishing. Totally unacceptable!

Grande Pines

My wife and I played here yesterday and it was great! The pace of play was a little slow, but we were told going in that it would be. The greens were is GREAT shape and were putting very true and fast. The fairways were still showing a few signs of being punched but were still very nice. The staff were outstanding and the beverage kart was running quickly all DAY!!! There is a lot of water on this course, but not to fear most of the red tees minimize it. So my wife the beginner was still able to shot a 100!

Kissimmee Golf Club

This course was sooo nice we played it twice. While it had just recently been punched the greens were coming back nicely. The scenery is nice and the wild life here was plentiful. Fairways were moderate in width and there was a good mix of bunkers. The course surrounds a Municipal airport with lots of private jets taking off after the holiday weekend and there is one hole where you could seemingly hit a plane as they land they are sooo low. Lots of ponds and water played very well with all levels of players! It would be a really nice course once it heals and grows in.
We learned that late May is a bad month to try to go to Orlando for a golfing trip. Seems EVERONE punches their courses at the SAME time here and over a three day holiday weekend!!!!!!!!!! Go figure. And when I say aeration or pouching it is not like at home in CA where we can still play the greens after it’s done, here they totally destroy the greens! There is literally NO way to put these greens, I even tried to use a 6 irons to no avail. There is just no rolling around a green that looks like you stamped it with a sheet of expanded metal to the dirt level! We found it really hard to find a course that wasn’t destroyed by aeration.

Morango Champions course

We played the Champions Course today and found it kinda disappointing honestly. Perhaps it was all the hip and advertising says how great it was going to be. But you can drive another 20 minutes and play way better courses in Palm Springs for a lot LESS. Here are some of the things that I found lacking; a lot of the sand traps had NO sand, just a gravely dirt and mud from over watering. Whole some of the green side bunkers did have nice clean, raked sand in them. The greens are patchy where they are trying to let the St. Augustine grass grow in, making them roll very uneven. The greens were extremely hard and sometimes hard to see from the fairway. While this was our first time playing here we found the signage poor and had to wonder around a little to find things. The snack bar girl was very having a bad day and was snippy with us.
Probably will not go back for a while, too many other nice courses around to play to waste time with this one.

Highland Falls golf course

The wife and I played this course this weekend. It was very nicely cared for the greens were amazing, FAST and hard, quite a bit different from where we normally play. The fairways were generous and the ruffs was forgivingly short. It reminds me of the courses in Palm Springs, the course was very pretty overall and had some great views of the Vegas area. Very fun place to play.

San Dimas CAnyon

I found this course to be very nice. The wild life around the course was amazing and the fairways and greens were fantastic, and very fast! The course was very challenging, with narrow and blind fairways, and undulating greens that were difficult at times. It was our first time playing here so there were a lot of surprises for us on some of the blind holes. Over all it was a good course experience.

This is a challenging course, fun but challenging! There are a lot of blind tee shots, hidden greens, and with the normal doglegs it is sometimes hard to see the pin on the green you are trying to hit. It is a very scenic course that covers lots of hills and valleys. The greens were in good condition just hard to hit. On the day we played there was a lot of groups of 2 on course, and some groups of 6 so it was really slow and backed up on quite a few tee boxes.

Cottonfields

We played Cottonfields it was very nice well-kept and the greens were very nice. The course itself was remote, quiet and with lots of natural woods lining the edges, not a lot of trees on the course or the fairways. They do need to put up some signs as where the next hole is from the greens, as this was our first time playing here, we got lost several times.

The course was nice over all but the green were in poor condition. Seems the golfers that play here do not know how to repair their own ball marks much less anyone elses. A big shame really, the greens are in fair shape, just full of holes. A challenging course over all, more of a shot maker type of course, no spraying allowed here! Lots of water and creeks so you have to place your shots wisely to score well. This is the only course I’ve ever seen with a real honest 19holes, plus the club house, check the score card!

Eagle Glenn

Eagle Glenn is a GREAT course, very challenging with pristine views. Like most courses here in CA due to the heat (was just under 100) it was a little dry, fairways are still green and nice, greens were VERY fast but still held the ball. The new GPS system is very accurate and gives you a lot of info about your distances, they may need to ease the kart GPS restrictions a bit as they are very restrictive and are a real pain in the butt. We did the Bridgestone Ball Fitting that they offered it was very informative and confirmed for me I am playing the right ball.

Rancho Las Palmas Country Club

We played the South and North courses yesterday. They were VERY well maintained and the greens were outstanding. We started on the South course, pay attention to your course layout, would be my best advice here. The greens are not viewable from a lot of the tee boxes so you need to pick your shots for the best results, hitting it too far can be a real issue. Not a grip-it and rip-it course! Over all we found the course to be in great condition. There are three 9 hole courses here, the West course looked to also be in great condition.

Revere Golf Club - Concord course

The wife and I play the Concord course yesterday and loved it. It is a very picturesque course and in great condition. Lots of elevation changes and open area shots, some not for the meak at heart, lots of risk reward holes. The front tee’s are well placed for the wife to be able to avoid most of the long open area as well. The greens had just been sanded but still rolled well. Karts come with GPS that works well, and gave a good overview of the hole. From the club house you can see all of the valley and Las Vegas. The staff were very friendly and open, the starter is located on the driving range where they provide range balls to warm up before the round. One of the nicest courses we played while on our last trip to the Vegas area. We will definitely be back to play this one again soon. Check GolfNow for some awesome pricing toooo!!!

This was a wonderful course to play. While it is an Executive course and shorter by design, it was great fun to play and still has several par 4 holes. The condition of the course is OUTSTANDING!!!!! So much so we played it twice on our trip. The staff was very nice and accommodating in all regards, karts come with an ice chest and ice.

Don’t waste your money! There are too many nice courses around to play here. We found this course to be in very poor condition, in bad need of water. Play was very slow, there was very little drinking water on the course and with temperatures in triple digits it was not good. We will not be playing here again.

Redhawk

My wife and I played on Mother’s day 5/10/2013. The course has a GREAT layout, greens are in good condition but fairways and sounding areas are very dry!!! Which I don’t understand as they are using reclaimed water, which there shouldn’t be any shortage of????? We didn’t have any problems with slow play as we were pretty much by ourselves the whole day. It was pretty hot that day but still doable. I was very concerned with the fact that the on course water jugs were empty and the rest rooms had no working sinks to get water while on course. Over all the course was nice and some holes were very picturesque. As to the whole slow play issue, I fully believe that if players would just hit from the tee boxes that best suited their game and not their EGO’s a lot of the slow play issues could be eliminated. Most of us shouldn’t hit from the Black nor Gold tees EVER!!!

This course is out stand. The conditions on the course superior, greens roll very well and the fairways are well done. The bunkers are real sand and plays well. They have a driving range on site that allows both mat and grass practice. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Links art Summerly

This course while nicely laid out, it was very hard to play, as you couldn’t tell the course from the surrounding desert. Now it is mid-winter here in CA and the lack of green grass could be understood on a course where it snows, but I don’t believe that is the case in Lake Elsinore, as none of the other courses in the area are grassless? The greens were very hard and green however. The course has a Pro Shot GPS system in the karts that is all but useless, there are Burns, cuts or irrigation channels running across a lot of the fairways that CAN”T be seen from most of the tee boxes, the Pro Shot does tell you about the Burns most of the time, but it is inaccurate as they wonder across the fairways at different angles in a snake like fashion. Really frustrating to hit a 280 yard drive, down the center only to find that you rolled into a rock filled burn and are out of bounds!!!! The course may be nicer during the Spring or Summer, I may give it another try then.

I read your review and appreciate it. I'll have a lesser-level of expectation when playing it again soon. I played earlier in the year, late-Spring-time, and I thought it was a great value at $25, but; I'll see what this winter-golf-round brings.

I intend on making it out there Sunday (for a hot-deal if it's available once others commit for the $32 @ 10:56).

Thanks again for the head's-up on the current conditions.

Best wishes,
Nick

This is one if my favorite courses to play. Even though it is a 45 minutes drive it is well worth it. As there are 3 seperate 9-hole courses at this location, the diverseness keeps it fun. They also have a very nice driving range, seperate chipping area and huge putting green. The course is well maintained and the wild life there is plentiful. A really fun place to play.

One of my favorite course in the IE. Always well maintained and clean. Greens are smooth and fairly TUFF, I still can't get them right, no fault of the course, just me. Staff is really good here as well. There is a really nice driving range, chipping area and putty green there too.
