Course NEEDS Water

A couple weeks ago the course was in excellent shape. It looks like they stopped watering the course. The greens are patchy in some areas. My only other complaint are the tee boxes not being flat.

Play was slower than usual with the women’s league ahead of us. While waiting at the tee box, a group of 6 men drove in front of us to tee off in two groups of 3 on hole #10. What’s the point of having a starter on hole #1?

This course needs a ranger

The course is in pretty good shape. They expanded the greens and the pin placements have made the course challenging.

Problems: Tee boxes are mound. They need to leven out the tee boxes. Every tee is uneven.

Hire a Ranger! Two groups of new golfers ahead of us were playing from the blue tees and they were barely hitting the ball past the red tees. A ranger could keep the pace of play at a reasonable time.

Unacceptable...This was a great course

I have played many rounds at Peoria Pines over the years. It is sad to say but this course is in abysmal shape. Where do I begin?

1) This is an executive course with short holes. Why are you trying to double the size of the greens? The greens are half nice grass and half sand with quarter size plug holes. You’re better off chipping than putting even on the greens. To make it more mind boggling, the pins are placed close to the poorly newly expanded green in bad shape.

2) The fairways are gone. The middle is nothing but dirt. However, if you avoid the fairways, you will find playable grass in the rough. You get penalized for a good tee shot and a good green shot.

3) A precious poster made a good point about the signs saying “NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS ON THE COURSE.” Hello! It’s 110+ outside and the cart girl doesn’t start until 9am. I play many other courses throughout the valley and they don’t care if you bring your own water cooler.

It’s sad to see this course the way it is. This use to be one of the nicer courses in the west valley. They had the best greens. Maybe to save money and not water the course they’re hoping for a monsoon deluge.
