Vineyards

Great track and very challenging with the 60 mph winds. The course isn't long and the sand is very soft. Due to alot of rain. I'm amazed that the course wasn't that wet. Paired up with a nice bunch of guys. Great day to be out with 60 degree weather. Recommend not using a driver and using a 3 wood. Due to the wind and a lot of tall grass. Course was in great shape for late in the sesson. Not many divots in the fairway. The greens were very fast. On your appoach shot have to do 3 clubs up. Will definitely play here again . Suggest playing this one on your list. The staff was top notch .

Foxhopyard Golf Course

I grew up in CT and played alot of nice courses. Never played the Foxhopyard Golf Course in East Haddam CT and never knew existed. I decided to take the Orient Point ferry to New London CT and 40 minutes from the Foxhopyard Golf Course. The moment I pulled up to the course. Thought I was playing mountain golf. Not the case. The resteraunt On Top Of The Rock's was great on the Hill of views and walking down to the pro shop! Included bucket of range balls and course worth 63 on a hot deal not 100.00. Staff very pleasant in all departments and very nice and great service. Wish the weather was better but can't control that. The Course has 3 styles in one. Vermont and North Carolina and Ireland as well. Very pretty views! The course is diffult from all tees. Alot of cabbage where you have to shoot over that stuff and alot of creeks and water as well. Greens are challenging very hilly and tuff too read. Double check twice before putting. Only thing I can knock the course was. Not knowing the greens had been punched recently. But except it for this time of year. Definely a must play on your buck list of courses.

Great course! Staff is very friendly. The Glen is fun and the greens are great. Wish the weather was better. The greens were medium speed. What was great was I timed it perfect that when I finished. It started to pour. Definely a short quick fun course. Will be back! Alot of Par 4s and 3s. A fun par 5.

Best Course On The East End

Played golf on a nice fall day. The course and greens were excellent shape! The maintenance staff always cares about up keeping the course. Course is wide open and really no out of bounds. The track is really long and have to be good off the tee. The greens can be really tricky. Suggest look at it twice before putting. Always will come back here and be my you to course.

Nice Fall Day At Cherry Creek

The Course is in great shape for this late in the season. Course is very long from the tips. Got joined up with a 3 some and were very nice golfers. Was happy I played great there. One of the best courses on the East End. Have to be great off the tee here. Definely a must to play of in the area.

Maplewood Golf Course

It's a old traditional golf course built in 1914. A old classic Donald Ross course. The course is kind of corky feel too it. The some holes you can't bust out the driver. It's a short yardage golf course. Alot of short par 4 and 5s. The par 3s are long 200 plus yards. The greens are very tricky. You have too double check twice. Before making the putts.Jerry is in the pro shop was very warm and polite. would definitely recommend anyone to play here. They also have a play and stay package as well. Golfing is pretty much Billy goat golfing here. The Golf carts were very powerful. The only downside of this course is. No driving range and the restaurant closed for lunch on Columbus Day. Other golfers were polite and let me pass them thru. Will definitely be back here soon.

Indian Island GC

The fairways were so beat up! I guess because alot of golfers play there cause it's cheap. But since it's the end of the season can't expect much. Greens were good and rolling true speed. Sand traps awful with rocks in them more like a dirt traps. But for a twilight deal with cart and green key. It's a steal. It was a nice fall day to be out there.

The Course is a links style course. Greens were medium speed. Some long par 4s and short par 5s. Course favors players who play your drives left to right. Some blind shots. No water at the course which was pretty hot outside. Some water holes at the course. Pretty wide fairways and most holes aren't tight. The Course isn't long. Not that difficult.

Indian Island GC

Played Indian Island for the first time. For the green key it isn't a bad price. The only down side is that the fairways were beat up. Greens were in great shape. The Par 5s are very short and fun to get on in two. Par 4s are short. Par 3s are long 200 plus yards. Course has a great drainage system. Only down side is the holes are to close together and pretty much on top of each other. Will definitely play here again. It's a very generic course and definitely suited all skill levels.

Tashua Knolls GC The Knolls

My brother and I played at the Knolls today. The course conditions were good. Thr course isnt diffult course. But the greens are very tricky. Very small and sloping. Not many straight putts. Some dog leg rights and lefts on the course. The par 5s are short and same as the 4s and 3s. I'm so happy that the Us Amauters tournament playing my course that I grew up on! If your in the area of Fairfield County. It's definitely a course to play on your list. All whole staff gets a thumbs up at Tashua.

Golf Club At Oxford Greens

I played the Oxford Greens with my brother. The course conditions were good. The greens weren't very fast. They were medium speed. Very challenging pin placement. Lot of blind spots. Playing from the blacks is very long! I suggest playing from the whites and blues. Staff and cart girl you know who you are you were great. The cart guy was great as well. Tee boxes were seeded great and same with the fairways. The course plays and favors for players with a draw on there drives. If your a fade player it can be challenging with the lies. Definitely suggest playing here if your a local or in the area traveling.

Stone Bridge Golf Club

The course is very tight. You have to be good on your drive and hit it straight. The houses are very close together. The greens are very slow. The pin placements were very tuff. The greens were very hilly. The rough was like hitting on concrete. Alot of water holes on the course. Tons of long par 5s on the course.

Golden Horseshoe Green Course

I was in the Virginia Willamsburg area. The staff at Kings Creek Plantation where I stayed suggested I play at the Golden Horshoe Green course. The fairways where a little rough due to I guess lack of rain and not watered down enough. The bunkers were in great shape and so were the greens. A little slow for my liking. Because I love fast greens. The course is challenging because of sloping and rolling greens. The fairways are very hilly. Some holes are very tight. The Course is worth 45 dollars but not no more than that in my opinion. The down side is that quite of few holes where cart paths only. 1 of them is the last hole on the 18. Which is a long par 4 if play from the tips. The Course is very long from the tips. Definitely a must play in the Williamsburg Va area. Many famous people and presidents played there. Example Obama the Kennedy's exc.

Great course ! Love the lay out! Greens were a little slow for me! Easy course to play. Not very challenging for the advanced golfer. Course is very generic for golfers all skill level. Definitely on your list to play if your in the area! Golden Horshoe Golf Club as well! Bunkers aren't white sand. There tan sand.

Played this golf course with my wife on are honeymoon. Course is in great shape and diffult golf course. The carb grass is hard to hit when your in the rough. Its like that alot when you go to the island to play golf. Have to hit it like a bunker shot. Definely worth going to play here. Greens were in great shape and the fairways as well.

GRGC

Great Rock Golf Club has improved. The fairways were in tip top shape. Greens were fast and reading true speed. The rough needs some tlc some bear spots. The sand traps need some work. Grass growing in there and need to be lifted. It was kind of hard to find your ball in the rough due to the grass being high. Same with the fringe. But the staff gets the two thumbs up! For great service.

Creek Creek The Woods

The Course is very tight! Some holes you can't use your driver, You have to use your 3 wood. The par 5s are short and fun to get on in 2. Greens are better at the woods than the Links. Greens are slow. You have to bring the putter back more. Staff is great and helpful to play your best round. You have to hit the ball straight and don't spray in the trees. Woods is shorter than the Links in yardage. I will be back!

Tashua Knolls

Great course and very generic style golf course. It's a 9 hole short executive style course. Alot of par 3 and 4s. The last hole is the 9th hole and it's a par 5. Only par 5 on the course. The greens and fairways are in great shape. Greens are slow. Bunkers are in great shape as well. Definitely will be back to try the Knolls. It's always been a great golf courses.
