The greens were very slow, compared to recent times. #7 green, is still not in great shape.
Everyone had to play a shortened #1 because of a festival on the leftside of the hole.

I have done a few reviews on the course before. Most of the times before my reviews have been favorable, not this time.
If you do not have a ranger to push people along after over booking to the point you run out of carts, you then have a recipe for poor management.
Then you send out the brains of the outfit CJ or AJ to come out to the 17th hole and tells my group that we must be playing slow, because the green is open, what a joke.

One of the better courses in the area. I love playing there and the staff is always smiling and helpful.
The greens are in great shape and are undulating so there are no gimme putts. We play the tips and despite the course not being long it is not any pushover.

I look at the course as an executive course on steroids.
The greens are in decent shape, some are slightly slower than most of them. So of course your games gets thrown off.
Everyone is friendly and very helpful, I've never had any issues for all my years of playing there. I don't think paying over $50 for a round there is quite worth it though.
Overall I enjoy the course and will always play there during the rainy days and when everywhere else is over priced.

The course was in decent shape, my only problem was that the greens were sanded.
Everyone was pleasant and helpful, but as always, there's that one employee who acts as if their title as starter makes them king.
I liked the layout of the course, 17 and 18 were the most enjoyable holes.

On our way to myrtle beach, we decided to play here as a tune up round. We arrived late but they accommodated us by letting us start on the back 9, which helped us to get through the course quickly. The course was in decent shape, but fairways and rough are in good shape. The greens played on the slow side, which was a negative mark on the scorecard.
We definitely will play there again next year, before heading to myrtle.

I played the course twice in 1 week because the course layout is exceptional. The greens are rolling nice and super quick, also the fairways and rough are plush. The tee boxes need a little TLC and need to be leveled. One of my problems with playing there is the staff. The starter really needed an attitude adjustment, if you speak to me in a condescending manner and tone, you will get it back ten times worse. Rushing me at the turn was unnecessary, especially as the course was not full and if the course had a ranger, then this individual would have seen, we were not slowing up play. Which brings me to my other concern, the 2 days I played there, they wasn't a ranger in sight and the group in front of us was holding everyone up from the 7th hole through to the 18th.
One last thing, why would there only be 2 things to eat on the menu, hotdogs and a cold buffalo chicken wrap. I asked for the wrap to be heated and it was heated on the outside and not throughout the wrap. My friend ate his because he was hungry, I did not. I ate enough cold food in the military. It is absurd to charge full price for a pre-made cold wrap, and without any fries or chips.
I only recommend the course, because the course is amazing, everything else, buyer beware.

So first off, therental clubs for $25, were terrible, for $50 they have AP3's. My complaint about that is the driver had a regular flex.
The course is green and lush, I wish people would repair their divots, I try to repair an extra divot when on greens, you should do the same. The greens were super soft, so they held shots, they rolled fairly well, but were on the slow side. The fairways and tee boxes were in good shape also and I appreciated the depth of the rough. Even though the course is only 6000yrs from the tips, you have to hit fairways or it will cost you a ton of strokes. It was a buddy of mine first time playing the course and he enjoyed it.

So my main point for recommending the course is the elevation changes. After being in FL for 11yrs and having nothing but one flat course after another, highlands was refreshing. The layout is decent and there are a few holes that run parallel to one another, so beware of stray balls, especially on holes 4 and 5. The other weird feature of the course, is that there is no water, not one retention pond.
The greens were a little slow, but most were in great shape.
I'm looking forward to playing the course again, I hadn't played there in about 5yrs. I played on a Sunday and maybe due to the brief downpour we encountered, the pace of play was great.
I played with a father and son from England, which was a ton of fun and experience.

The carts need a ton of TLC. Greens are in decent shape. This course helps me with my irons, so I play it occasionally.

Since the inception od the PDP the course has lost its appeal as on of the better playing courses in the area. If you played the course 3yrs ago, you would understand what I'm talking about. The course was in fantastic shape, the greens were almost immaculate, the rough a challenge as well as every hole. They have for the most part made the course high-handicap friendly. Not that this is a bad thing, but now you have people who play, that don't fill divots, leave ball indentations on the greens and extremely slow play.
The course use to be my favorite course in FL, not anymore.

Overall the course is in decent shape. The greens are super slow right now, hopefully in the next few weeks they will cut and roll them to give them some speed.
The fairways are in decent shape, have they been better, yes.
I will continue to play the course because for now when we want to play the course is open.
My only gripe is booking the course through golfnow, which is a rip-off.

They did not notify anyone that the first green was closed and they have a temporary green.
I wouldn't be surprised if golfnow knows. The course should not be charging full price, when they have one or more temporary green.

The course is in decent shape, the fairways are nice and plush, there's grass around the greens. The greens are exceptionally slow, which is not a bad thing, it just means they are healing. I enjoy playing here to get a quick round in, so as to practice my irons. The carts are not the best and the day I played it was very slow, which was at 0945hrs.

The course is in reasonably shape, the tee boxes need to be evened out, someone please explain too me why are they are this way? It's bad enough the fairways are full of cabbage and weeds.
Also why are the green speeds not all the same? That is so frustrating, trying to keep up with my putting speed.
I hadn't played this course in over 3yrs and I was reminded why, they never have someone speeding up pace of play.

The price for admission doesn't reflect how bad the ride was.
I'm not sure who will read this, if you're someone who works at the course in management, please, please do something to fix the problems on the course. The greens fee is not worth playing the course, you should be embarrassed to charge such a high price and you are not fixing any of the problems at the course. At least fix the greens.
I have nothing good to say about anything the course has to offer.

Course has shown improvement. Just wish I didn't have to book through golfnow.

The course is playing well from tee to green. The greens are rolling fast and true, there no bumps and lumps to putt through. The fairways have grass, also the carts have gps.
Overall the course is a gem, considering the drought we are going through, cudos to the grounds crew. Just wish I could book directly through them with the same price I paid with the rip-off company golfnow. I really am disgusted with golfnow and they antics.

The course hasn't changed much since the last time we played, meaning it's a below average course. I don't agree with how much they are charging for a round. They do have new carts.
There's nothing you can really say about the course, that makes it worthwhile to go and play over other courses in the area.

So it was my first time playing the course. My pros were the pace of play and that was about it. There was nothing exciting about any of the holes, the greens speeds were inconsistent. I can't even remember a memorable hole that I liked. Would I play the course again? Yes of course I would, and that’s because I've played these types of courses throughout my golfing life. The staff were very pleasant and that’s a plus.
If I'm back in Orlando again, which I will be and the price is right, I shall return.
One last thing for the course owners, I would have rather booked through you than that bloodsucking company golfnow.
