Eagle Harbor Golf Club

I arrived at 2:15 for a 3:00 tee time. I walked in the pro shop the guy had his hand in a microwave getting food out right at the pro shop counter. I thought that was weird first time I’ve ever seen that at a golf club. He informed us they had a high school match going soon and we had 15-20 min to tee off “I’ll be watching you he said” We drove over an hour from St Augustine arriving 45 minutes early so we could warm up/ chip and putt. That plan got squashed by him wanting to hurry things up for a high school match. I felt unwelcome having to tee off 30 minutes early. On the second hole the cart attendant said they were going home for the day., mind you the grill is closed. Mondays. On the turn the same pro shop worker was out chipping and putting leaving the shop completely unattended. At least he had time to chip and putt. The course was decent. Really nice greens. Management needs to tighten things up or maybe that’s how they treat all non-members?

I've played here many times in the past and it was a great value. However it is going down hill fast. The greens are terrible! Today they closed the bathroom so today at 6:15 when I tried to use the restroom it was locked and the staff told us to go to McDonald's to use the restroom. I was also suprised when the staff informed me upon arrival the restaurant was closed indefinitely it was run by a separate company who just up and left so we could not purchase food or beverages. After the treatment of the staff I would leave also. At the turn I just wanted a poweraid. I patienty waited at the pro shop for groups to check in because the reasturant is closed so she is selling drinks out of a cooler with ice in the back room of the pro shop and checking people in also. After waiting for a group to check in and she forgot to charge one of them so she had to call them back in to get payment. Then the phone rang and she ignores us answers it starts selling a golf package after taking a tee time I was there for ten minutes prior to the phone call. I was just trying to make the turn. Wow then she got an attitude when I asked to just pay for a drink. Please do your self a favor and play elsewhere!!! From a local St. Augustine beach resident.

Played On 04/13/2018Grill was closed to public because of an outing
Course is in excellent shape, staff was extremely friendly however when we made the turn the grill was closed due to an outing. All our group wanted was a drink and some food, anything, but we were informed the grill was closed to the public and they would send someone to the tenth hole . We got our food on the fifteenth hole... over an hour later. Tipped the guy 20$ but it would have been nice on a Friday afternoon at 4:00 to be able to get something at the turn. Next time hold your after party for an event in a separate area please don’t close the grill.
A golf course is for golfing not the dining experience.

Good value but greens and tee boxes are sub-par. I would recommend this course for beginners just learning to play.
Augustine Golf Club

First time playing this course. Good elevation changes and the greens are fast and true. Entire staff is outstanding. Course was patchy, areas around the greens have a lot of bare spots. Overall nice course to play.
