I am 82 with a 9 handicap and play tees set for 52-5400 yards.based on how far I hit my average driver - 190 yds and average 5 iron. - 150 yds. I believe the average golfer playing 6000 yds or more will have their hands full! Take a lot of balls. I shot an 81 and it has been 3 years since I last played this course. It is in the best condition. Greens are very fast if you are putting with the grain. Winds were up 20 -30 mph which is 2-3 more club going against it. But I sure enjoyed a couple of 250-270 drives too.
Have fun out there! Playing from the correct tee box is not taught. Check the internet until you have found the metric for the Driver and 5 iron chart. It will make your game more fun and that is what is all about!

This was the 12 th time to play this course. Over the years they keep improving it. Good practice facility as well. Only negative is you have no ocean view holes but you do have some very scenic holes. Fun to play for all handicaps!!

2nd time to play this course. Pace of play was vey good. Very scenic course but not on or next to the water. Water is viewed from afar but very beautiful. Bunkers in excellent condition. Good club house for Happy Hour!

This is one of the nicest courses I have played and I have played over 500. We did not see another golfer until the 16th hole. Lots of trees and nice kept bunkers, and interesting water shots.
Scenery is second only to the 9 holes at Top of The Rock which is like looking at The Masters hole #12 for 9 holes. Not your run of the mill golf course. Payne Stewart would be proud to have his name on the course which he did until his Foundation would not renew the naming rights last year. Personnel could not have been nicer!

From a NE Texan's perspective this really is a beautiful hilly tree lined course! The greens are the challenge. They & the fairways are in excellent condition. The views from most tee boxes are outstanding with views of Little Traverse Bay. The terrace outside restaurant offers some of the best views in N. Michigan. Both golf & restaurant staffs were excellent. Starter provided excellent advise before sending us to the first tee box. One word of advise: if you hit a 5 iron no further than 150 yards - play from the Red tees and you will have a more delightful experience.

Carts have GPS which really helps. Fair but challenging course with sand and water and deep rough to consider. Views of the ocean are available but you are looking quite a distance to it. Played twice first on Sunday and then on Tuesday. Pace of play on the weekends is much faster than during the week! Happy Hour from 2:30pm to 6 pm is a good value for beverages and food. Can see the ocean from the inside and terrace areas. Music on Sunday afternoons 5 -7 pm.

The majority of holes are unique and not just the run of the mill back and forth. Lots of blind drives and curvy greens. Plenty of bunkers to find your ball. Water on quite a few holes. All which add up to a wonderful golfing experience here in Kauai.

Looking at all the lush green scenery can help get your mind off the cold weather and brown fairways back home in Texas this time of year. You will find the staff very helpful and the conditions are always great. Have played here every year since they opened and still find it fun and challenging!
