We were very happy to find this course in such a great condition as it used to be. Greens were fast and rolling true. The challenging and fun day we had. Definitely will be back before the end of the season.

I remember when this course was one of the best courses to play at a very reasonable price. It still has a great layout but was very disappointed at how slow the green was. Maybe it was due to the rain the day before. Footprints are imprinted on them cuz they are so soft, if you're more than 10ft away from the hole, you can't putt any harder. Most of our putts were short no matter how hard you hit. We were 4 some played 36 holes - all 4 9 holes. Even so, can't beat the price. Starter was so friendly.

It's not a private course. It's a school course. That's what they mean by "Private Access." Low-level muni course. Good course for locals to come out for a walk. Not worth driving from distance. Not worth the money. My fault for mis-understanding.

Expected it to be a crappy course BUT very happily surprised. Great layout with a little bit of everything - water, doglegs, trees, bushes, etc... I couldn't believe my buddy and I paid only $30. No doubt this course will be in top rated condition during in-season. A couple of downsides are that lots of senior may slow you down a little bit and the houses are a little too close and no fence or tree to protect them from the balls. So hit straight!

Overall condition is much better than last year. Greens are much faster.. So if you're thinking of last year's Rockleigh, you need to adjust quickly or you'll suffer on the greens. Hope this course continues to improve.

Lat time I played here was a few years ago. Didn't realize the course was this challenging and fun. It's all up and down hills. Regret walking. Condition was surprisingly good for off season. Definitely coming back.

Considering it's February, the course condition was better than expected. Greens were just a bit slower but still enjoyable. Great burger.

Didn't expect much at this time of the year but course was in better than acceptable condition. The greens were B+ which is better than any course I been to during this winter. Love to come back with buddies. Don't forget their incredible burger.

First time in 6 yrs. Can't believe how beautiful the course is - setting, layout, condition especially the greens. Greens must be rolling about 11. Just can't say enough about the whole course cuz it's PERFECT. It's short - just over 6000 yrds but don't let that fool you. As you're playing the course you won't feel the distance being short at all except your shot. I'm definitely going back as much as I can.

Not much to describe except that it was very satisfying overall. Great course condition. Greens were perfect. Friendly staff. Reasonable pace of play. Just wish I had better game.

Condition was great overall. You have to know the course in order manage your game. Much undulated fairways and greens. Greens were fast.
It was my second time playing here. First was about 5 yrs ago and didn't remember the course enough. Think I'll enjoy more next time

Cash only. Tee time doesn't matter. You need to get to the first tee starter and line up. Starter is not letting you out in order. Took 5 hours to play 18. The course definitely has water issue. Maybe it's better than going to the range but on a normal day, I wouldn't play here.

Challenging and fun green with lots of undulation. Teebox and Fairway is average with no surprises. Layout is stress free fun. Best part of the course is the Greens. Love it. Booked thru GolfNow for dirt cheap. Will definitely bring friends next season.

Played here for first time in a few years.
I didn't realize the course is so beautiful and layout is quite entertaining. But the greens were somewhat slower than I expected and bunker s had NO SAND which made it almost impossible to land and stop the ball from green side bunkers on to much elevated greens. Other than that, HotDeal on GolfNow is definitely worth it.

Less than $45 including cart on Saturday through GolfNow. Can't beat the value if you don't have to drive over an hour. Burger is awesome at the halfway house at the turn. Friendly staff. Front 9 is fairly easy so you can slowly heat up your game. Back 9 gets a little tougher but fun.

Fairways and greens were in pretty good condition. Just need players to fix the ball marks and replace the divots. Hope they keep the course in this condition throughout the season.

Played as a group of 14 today. $67 seemed way too much for most of the greens being in such a poor condition. But biggest issue was a disrespectful ranger. We started at 1pm and a group in fron started at 12:30. this young punk ranger guy came to us on 6th green and `told us to close the gap with the group in front of us since there's a hole open. I tried to explain that they went out 30 minutes earlier and group behind us were a hole behind, he didn't give me a chance to talk. He said "I'm gonna stop you right there. It's your responsibility to close the gap with a group in front". He said that in very rude tone like a gangster trying to bully I said O.K. and didn't argue cuz didn't want it to be a fist fight and sure didn't want him to ruin my game any more than he already did. I went to proshop after finishing 9 hole in under 2 hours and seriously complained. I belong to 2 different group of 16 golfers each that play every week. I'm not coming back here. My groups will not come back here. And I will advise anyone even considering this place not to come here. I'm sure the words will spread much farther. Unless you get some kinda kick out of paying your money to be bullied, DON'T play at Sunset Valley!!!!

This course is usually in top condition but since I played in the very beginning of the season-snow hasn't melt completely-considering all things, the fairway and tee box was good but green was recently aerated and uncut. I'm sure it will be back to its usual top rate condition soon.

Course is young vibrant and beautiful.Just enough challenging for bogey or slightly better players. Superbly maintained. There are no beginners to agitate you. Only downside was that the greens were not as fast as I expected. Maybe because it rained for past three days. If I find a good deal, my buddies and I would definitely return as often as we can.
