Teravista Golf Club
Played On 08/29/2018Nice course...just a word to the wise.
Really enjoyed the round. Just a tip.....the practice greens are waaay faster than the greens on the course. Practice greens were about a 11. Course greens were 8. Have fun!!!
Roy Kizer Golf Course
Played On 08/09/2018Fivesomes!!!
Played on a very hot Thursday afternoon. Course was in terrific shape...especially considering how hot and dry this summer has been. But pace of play was glacial....especially for a Thursday afternoon. Saw at least 2 fivesomes ahead of my group. Waited on EVERY shot. In addition to throwing off my playing rhythm, it was no fun just to be waiting in the sun and 100 degree temps. Stop booking fivesomes!!!!!
Bluebonnet Hill Golf Club & Range
Played On 09/21/2017Always a solid choice
I play Bluebonnet Hills 3 or 4 times a month and always enjoy the course. Scenic from several spots...deer and fox occasionally wander onto the course. The pace of play is always brisk....only once in the last 4 or 5 years have I ever had a round longer than 4 hours. My twosome played 36 holes in 6 hours. Course was in pretty good shape, but the greens, as always, were in great shape. Recovering from a recent aeration, they are rolling medium fast and true.
Delaware Springs Golf Course
Played On 12/16/2016Hidden gem....thy name is Delaware.
3rd time playing course. Like it more every time. Challenging layout...especially the par 5's. Beautiful conditioning. Greens were fast, so even subtle undulations made you work. Greens were pretty firm...had several shots hit and roll off...so play a little short and let 'em release. Also....great Xmas tree on 15! Made a beautiful hole even nicer. Just a great experience and well worth the hour's drive from Austin.
Jimmy Clay Golf Course
Played On 10/18/2016Good track.....greens are rolling beautifully right now.
Just wanted to say that the greens are exceptional right now. Jimmy Clay remains a fun layout with a few challenging holes. Three hours and 40 minutes for my threesome today.
Roy Kizer Golf Course
Played On 07/19/2016Greens getting better
I had played the course in mid-June and the greens were an absolute disaster. Huge progress since then. Only one green (#13) is still unplayable. Every other green now has good turf over at least 85% of the putting surface. Bumpy and slow, but at least they are acceptable now. Hopefully the improvement continues.
