Butterfield Trail Golf Club
Played On 12/26/2019As great as alwasy, unusually slow
It was a very frustrating round. No one cared about the pace of play. Usually after the back 9 the pace picks up(when people quit because it is this slow) but now, come 13th we were two groups on the tee, one on the fairway and one on the putting green. Called and asked for a marshall. Never showed up, fairly disappointed
Lions Municipal Golf Course
Played On 07/30/2019Nice
Sometimes the greens have room for more, the fairways are in good condition and some of the rough areas are decent too. You’ll find rough patches if you are off the fairway of course.
Maybe a marshall that pick things up on the weekends, otherwise you are looking at a 4:50+ round

Challenging from the tee to the green. The course will reward if you manage to land on the fairway, but even in some of those fairways, trees will make you think twice your next shot. Par 3’s are WOW

Played On 11/18/2017Marshalless
The marshal did abaolutely nothing, on prime time where fees are the highest. I expected at least the marshall attempting to resolve the issue, it just kept getting slower woth 3-4 groups per tee box

Definitivey worth the price. Fairways and greens in excellent condition
Roy Kizer Golf Course
Played On 10/01/2016Acceptable
It is a municipal golf course. The range grinder option is great, very extensive practice facility. The greens quality vary, I've seen them in decent condition, and sometimes in the worst condition (huge grass patches)
Fairways are in decent shape, and some holes will make you suffer and challenge you a lot
ShadowGlen Golf Club
Played On 04/30/2016Worse than an average municipal
Starting with empty drinking water containers most of them, on a mid day tee time. (It maybbe justified at twilight, but not at 12pm)
Overbooked tee times (12 people sitting at the first tee with a 20 minute wait)
Slow play, even worse because of cart path only...this because of a not too good water draining system. The course was seriously soaked.
The greens had different spots of pure sand, not even brown grass.
Not playing there again when there are way better municipal courses in the area.
Riverside Golf Course
Played On 12/17/2015This is not a golf course
The greens are...they should not be considered greens. Some of them, had patches impossible to avoid., some others had been so damaged by divots that the ball trajectory would be changed dramatically. The fairways were nearly acceptable. Im never going back. No marshall at all
Sad to see such a great and challenging course design be so abandoned.
We sincerely apologize for the unfortunate experience you had before. I'd strongly urge you to come see the transformation we've undergone since Austin Community College took us back over in November 2015. We think you'd be pleasantly surprised!
Pine Forest Golf Club
Played On 12/04/2015Dead slow...
The pace is seriously dead slow, expect to spend over 5:30 hours at least. The grass around the green, and the greens are wet as swamp.
The course design is astonishing, and beautiful.
We apologize for the slow round but we are glad that you enjoyed the course. Come back soon when the ground dries up a little!

The course is challenging for anyone. Rewarding for risk takers and forgiving for conservatives. Watch the greens because the will make you tri putt every time you hesitate!
Bluebonnet Hill Golf Club & Range
Played On 08/17/2015Good for the price
Monday, dont expect a TCP though. It is good enough to go and play 18, will forgive some bad shots, however it will cost you in the long run.
Jimmy Clay Golf Course
Played On 12/06/2014Above expectations
It is very challenging, several different types of greens, hidden, island, downhill, 2 uphill, one in a "mountain", be ready to use a high loft club for this one, located in 10th hole. 18 is a huge challenge starting from the tee box, left or right , its woods, green orotected by 2 hughe bunkers. . Im definitively playing this course again as many times as possible. Has 2 courses, the other one is Roy Kizer, more of a links type. Has a par 3 as well, and practice range, with chipping and putting area. Could you ask for more?
Harvey Penick Golf Campus
Played On 11/01/2014Absolutely awful
Im not sure why this is being offered in golfnow.com as an 18 hole. Its more like a training center. No par 5 at all, no cart path at all. You can often see the conditions of the course by looking at the pro shop...which is a mobile townhome. This not even a 3 star course. Seriously, do not go there
Thank you Hectorestrada2 for the five star review and rating from your recent visit at Falconhead! We hope to see you hit the greens again this season.
