We were looking forward to our round but from the first green on Saguaro we soon questioned our decision to travel the hour 30 from the east valley. They were slow, hard to hold, patchy and rolled inconsistently. All greens on Saguaro were the same. This improved when we played Wild Burro for the back nine. All in all, conditions were good but not the championship course we played several years ago.

The greens are some of the best in the east valley. Pace was slow but it is March. My recommendation to the management is if you are going to keep the dead Bermuda watered and damp do not shave it so low that it requires a perfect strike to pick the ball clean. Keeping it higher would make an easier and quicker game around the greens.

Played the course for the second time in three weeks. It is one of those tracks that make you want to come back! Played the blues first time and moved back to the yellow this time. It took a lot of the fairway bunkers out of play by moving back. Only negative was that the greens were very hard and not holding. For a course with so many green side bunkers it made the course a little too difficult.
