Sugar Ridge Golf Club
Played On 06/04/2023Pace of play
We had 2 tee times. I was in the second group that started at 6:54. We had a group yelling at us from behind multiple times during the round. On the 15th hole there was a starter driving around. Then on 17th tee he came back and told us to pick up the pace. We finished at 11:24 which was exactly 4.5 hour round on a Sunday morning. Which also includes it taking 10+ minutes to get a cheeseburger at the turn, and some tee boxes so hard that I broke 3 plastic tees and resorted to using a short tee just to hit the drive. I'm all for pace of play but just because a group is waiting doesn't mean the group in front is playing slow. I went to the pro shop at 11:26 just to show we finished on time. Multiple players in our group said they won't play there again. It will be a long while for me and I usually play 5-10 times per year there because I love the layout.
Eagles Nest Golf Course

Drinks were minimal variety. Greens were hard and only receptive to wedges. Near impossible to get a chip to check. Greens were above average speed and smooth. But what do you expect If they are hard? Had multiple balls interrupt play without any fore being called out. Had 1 fly 10 yards over my head while over a long eagle putt. 3 putted for par, partly because of this.
Lakeside/Meadows at Shaker Run Golf Club
Played On 9/29/2012Very good condition
With the exception of the edges of some greens, the course was in great shape. Fairways were soft and greens were what you would want. Average speed of the greens.
Brown's Run Country Club
Played On 9/28/2012This course is straight forward
There is very few blind shots. Greens hold well and are average speed. Fairways were soft with not much roll. Rough was thick, but not impossible to play out of. Ground around greens were on the hard side. If you missed the green it would add about 8-15 yards due to it bouncing. Pace of play was very fast as a single. 2 groups allowed me to play through. Would have considered a membership, but it is a 45 minute drive one way.
Crooked Tree Golf Course
Played On 9/21/2012Water please?
The greens were hard to hold. Fairways were impossible to hold. I was hitting drives 325-350 yards when I only average 280 yards. The ball would just roll for days. I love the layout and is one of my favorites, but it was hard to get quality results for quality swings. Showed up 12 minutes before round and was rushed to the tee box.
With a cart, this course should be played in 3.5 - 4 hours and not much more. 4.5 hours means you're playing slow. Sorry but that is my opinion and have played this course several times. If there is no one in front of you, easily played in 3 hours.
