Redwood Canyon Golf Course
Played On 01/12/2022Nice But Wet
First time playing and the layout was more interesting and challenging than I had expected. Unfortunately, despite 4 days of drying out after the last rains-- the fairways were still wet with some standing water and muddy areas. The marshal kept the pace of play brisk and everyone working there was very friendly. I'd like to return but not until late spring/summer when the course has dried out
Franklin Canyon Golf Course
Played On 04/20/2021Nice Day at Franklin Canyon
There was some wind which picked up in the afternoon, but the overall temperature and conditions were very good. The course could use some water, but with the current drought in California I'm not surprised. We got around in less than 4 hours so I'm happy with the round
Lake Chabot Golf Course - The 18 Hole Course
Played On 06/07/2018Improving Conditions
They have mowed the course recently so the fairways and rough are playing a little faster. We also felt the greens are in better shape and not as bumpy. There are still broken ball washers here and there and distance markers missing on many holes. However the course is still a pretty good value. And we love it when Carlotta’s cafe is open to serve good burgers and drinks..
Poplar Creek Golf Course
Played On 05/10/2017Poplar Playing Windy and Fast
The course is in good condition following months of rain. Greens and rough have been trimmed down and you'll find the putting surface much faster than has been the case over the winter. Nice that most of the wet spots have dried up and lost balls are not a concern.
We are getting lots of onshore flow which translates to increasing winds in the afternoon. Usually always a factor when playing on the northern peninsula
Lake Chabot Golf Course - The 18 Hole Course
Played On 02/13/2017Nice Day but Very Wet Course
We like playing Chabot and generally it offers a great value. However, after all the rain earlier in the month of February the course is extremely sloppy. Balls disappear in the fairway, rough is soupy, greens are very slow and slippery. It's too bad because I know they need the money, and it's very cheap to play-- but don't bring any light colored pants and be prepared to have your shoes caked with mud until the track dries out.
Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Redwood Canyon Golf Course.
