Decent Morning Round

Paired up with some nice gentlemen, course is in fair shape, fairways are poor, greens okay. First fairway was flooded due to broken water line

One Flew OVer the Cuckoos Nest

Arrived early and Ray was behind the counter, Very cordial Employee. Offered to send me out early and I took the offer.
Big Mistake.

I ended up riding with one of those guys, you know the guy or maybe you are him. Only knows two positions on the cart pedals. Full throttle or full brake. I lost half of my coffee before the 150 yard marker on the first hole. Also he must have left the nursing home without taking his medication. Was semi stable on the front nine, but after getting a cup of coffee at the turn he went abnormal. The course is in good shape for a muni course. Green in good condition.

Going out early you are playing in a mix of elderly guys who are less that average and can keep a pace of play going.

Typical Muni Flat track

Played the course, typical muni grade course. flat fairways, little no bunkers in the fairway, boring round greens. Course has nice homes on both sides, wide enough fairways.

Staff was helpful, a major flash flood river bed runs through the course, currently muddy and under grating probably from a large rain storm from August.

Restaurant is nice and serves a great all American burger, no foo foo. looks like the popular place for the retired hackers to hang out.

Nice Muni Course

Played this morning after booking a special and played with one of the employees of the course who gave me a some information on the course since this was my first time. The greens are in good shape for the amount of play, crews working on the fairways to prepare for the City Tournament in two weeks.

Fee came with a cart but next time I prefer to walk its a nice course to walk and many others walk and use a push cart. Course has new ClicGear Push carts for rent. Great menu in the 19th Hole

Great course but slow play awaits

Arrived early for a 9:38 tee time on Friday and was moved up 40 minutes which was great. However we played behind a threesome that was slow in that they took too long to play their shots, loitered in between shots. after 5 1/2 hours we walked off the 15th green. The marshal's were told several times but did not take any action to correct the situation.
For the premium day price it was not worth the aggravation!

Needs help

I'm a past resident and member at RLPCC. The greens were the worst I have ever seen them for June. Brown, bare spots.
Also it was recently aerated but nor disclosed on the booking site here.

This is a short course under 6,000 yards but the dog legs and palm trees make it a target golf challenge. The course is laid out through condos on the south, west and most of the north courses. KSL made the course longer with Black tees but it only extends it a few yards. Its sad to see it in this condition

This was once the gem of the Marriott Resorts, sold to KSL Resorts about 5 years ago, now bought by Omni Hotels who will take over in July.

Disappointed

Hilton has let this Pete Dye Masterpiece deteriorate. This once great course of the area is now a low end municipal tract at best. Railroad ties around the lakes are rotting away, greens are going brown.
Also they were aerated and not disclosed on the booking.
Fairways were over watered and balls plugged, rough is over a foot tall so bring extra balls. Pace of play is slow, five groups on the par 5 16th hole.
