That was the worst course I have ever played (condition wise) in my 30 years in AZ. All winter long Lone Tree was charging way too much for the course so I was looking forward to playing and was I disappointed. The reasons given for the poor condition just do not hold water because courses within 5 miles have no problem growing grass so why does Lone Tree? I do not see me playing that course any time in the near future.

Too many holes where you have to hit tight landing areas with less than driver.

I like the course but it was in very mediocre shape. The greens had been punched so you expect poor conditions there but the fairways were horrible.

The fairways are in poor shape, it might get really ugly over the summer.

Greens were good but some of the tees were all sand. A lot of dirt where grass should be and the water hazards were so low they smelled bad. The course itself was a poor layout with a lot of landing spots you really have to have played before to see. Tough course your first time out.

Overall a disappointing afternoon.

Overseeded greens are not very putter friendly, definitely affected putting lines. Be much better in a few weeks

Have to say I’m not a fan of courses that don’t overseed the rough. I would rather pay a little more to see a nice green course. Filling the sand traps with nicer sand, or maybe tilling what’s in there shouldn’t be out of the question.

A once hallowed course is not even a shadow of itself.

I have never seen such poorly maintained/burnt out greens.

Sell the thing already and move on

Do not waste your money
