Arizona Grand Resort
Played On 11/11/2020Great day of golf!
They had just over-seeded the course the week before so condition of the course is hard to rate. The fairways were in good condition for a course going through an over-seeding and most of the greens were in pretty good shape. However a few of the greens were really torn-up - far beyond what you would expect for an over-seeding.
The course has no "turn" so you're golfing 18 holes with no services other than the beverage cart. We saw the cart 3-4 - times and that was great - but the offerings were very limited. A few drinks, chips and pretzels. With no turn, I would think they could do a better job of offering a few things on the cart - maybe breakfast burritos or something.
Also, there was nothing really available at the pro shop before we stared. We were told that they had limited services due to COVID, but frankly, I'm tired of hearing that. They were running a full schedule and no problem pairing my friend and I with another 2-some. The course is run by a major hotel and it seems like they should be able to find a way to offer breakfast and other food items to customers. If they aren't going to find a way to serve their customers, they should find a way to inform them when booking - we would have planned to grab a bite and/or brought some snacks.
But all said, it was a nice course at a good rate and we had a great day. We'll be back!
Thank you for leaving 4 stars! We love hearing from you and are glad you had a good experience. We would love the opportunity to bump those 4 stars to 5. We hope you will come back soon so we can wow you on your next visit.
