I've played this course many years, never seen it in such bad condition, actually never seen any course this bad still open. Should be shut down.. Only payed 9 holes took 3 hrs, I saw no reason to play a course in such bad shape. The management tried to explain that they were working very hard to fix things, fired supt, hired anew, hoping Bermuda grass will come etc., the topper... the cost to play reflects the course condition, saying it;s cheap so don;t expect much. Course should be closed for repairs, waist of 31/2 hrs including the drive time.

The course is in extremely good condition for this time of the year, the staff should be commended. This is the second time I've played the course, I'll be back.

Greens didn't seem to break as much as they looked, straight at the hole wasn't much off.

Course in pretty good condition although the over-seed did not completely come in on the greens.

I last played the course when it was the Point at South Mountain, not sure I like the changes, don't like the distant to parking, don't like not having driving range.

Always a good time playing Maryvale. Course not in the best of shape, but still fun. Sorry to hear it's been sold, been playing this course for over 30 years. Hopefully the new owners will keep prices affordable for the average golfer.

The course still had standing water in lots of areas, probably should have been shut down until they pumped everything out. The traps were wet, not raked and some with standing water.

The course was in great shape for this time of year, greens were very true and fast maybe a 12. I can't wait to play a second time.

Great looking golf course, can't wait to play it when it's in good shape. The greens were punched and sanded recently and had I known that, I may not have played. Common courtesy and even golf etiquette should tell you to inform the public.

Course was in basic average to good condition. It played very fast due to the lack of players and the temperature outside (100+).

I enjoyed playing the course and look forward to the next time. I was disappointed in the condition of the sand traps, many were as hard as a rock less than 1" down.

I haven't played this course in some time and now I remember why. It's worse than it was the last time I played. Greens are in bad shape, sand traps are non-existent, tee boxes are a mess like they haven't had attention in days, broken tees and debris everywhere. I'm surprised they charge as much as they do. I don't think I'll ever play here again. Sad, this used to be a nice golf course, removal of fairway sand traps, greens are in bad shape and extreme lack of maintenance has ruined the course, almost like it is on purpose, like lets see how many people will still pay to play here if we do nothing.

The whole course is in good shape, especially the greens.

Always a fun course to play. Fairways are great and greens are coming in very well.

With over-seeding complete, the course is looking better. can't wait until the greens are mowed closer.

The course has come in nice after over-seed, but the greens have way to many ball marks and it seems no one is repairing them.

The greens are in very bad condition. I've played this course numerous times over the last 5 years or so and have never seen the greens in such bad shape. Maybe there's a new superintendent or a superintendent that needs to go, or management refuses to spend enough money to keep the course in shape to play. You should issue alerts that tell the prospective players that the course is in bad shape, play at your own risk.

Not enough people at front desk - long line to check in, greens in bad shape for this time of year, rough is left too high- lose balls. Play is way too slow, no rangers seen on course.
