Not a fan of the "new layout" of Brwntwood Golf Course. Miss the "old layout" which had a great rythm to it.

Pace was great. Rougjh was tool penal. No sand in most bunkets & not aytended to in days. Greens were okay, but will suffer soon if not punch & sanded. Tees were bad & long.
I won'y pay full price for this course which usr to be the "jewel" of east countyfrom 2000 to 2007!

I have played this course 3x in the last 3 weeks. There are half the greens that are on the verge of being un-playable. The tees, bunkers & fairways NEEF HELP IMMEADIATELY! SOME Fairways are dry & othets are sopping wer. This says that the watering system needs to be addtessed! Bunkers are not groomed & so players are not doing their job rakinging them
Some bunkers, mostly fairway bunkets, hVe little or no sand. This is no more tham a $25 golf coursr with a cart!!

Tees, fairways, bunkers & about five greens need more investments of money & man power.

Had a Golf Now tee time & showed up early. The clubhouse gentleman was in-different towards me when I asked who I was paired with. He said my cart # was 17 & told me where the 1st tee was, which I kn we w a couple hindred times before. I went around the corner & met 2 gentlemen who agreed to let me join them. The coursecwas filled with fivesomes & it was slow! The greens were ok, but the fairways, tees & bunkers were not up to surrounding coutses. Probably won't return for a long time.

Efforts are evident trying to improve playing conditions. Course does NEED water. Can't wait for rain.

I have written about this course before and it continues to spiral downward! The driving range and the practice green are gone. The new practice green comes as a sacrifice of the first tee of the Diablo Course. The Creekside/Hillside nines are in horrible condition.! The fairways are over-watered in some areas and dry and run down in other areas. The bunkers are a joke! Either no sand or puddles from mis-guided sprinklers. The tees are all weeds! Funny how the palm trees can be trimmed by the parking lot, but the fairways cannot be punched and seeded to grow grass. The owners should give up and put this course up for sale at a HUGE discount. I have been playing this course since 2000! It was a PALACE back then and is is so sad to see what has happened.

The value would be great except the course is in horrible condition . Greens are ok. Tees, fairway, bunkers & water hazards are terrible. You may think with Deer Ridge closed, there may be some effort to turn this course around. Having played ih the first year of operation, it just sick to how this course has been run and neglected.

Even though I paid $26 and the round took 4hours, I will NOT be returning any time soon due to the condition of the tees, fairways, bunkers and the stench coming from all the the water hazards.

From a week ago to today, we noticed the course is drying out pretty fast. Half the greens are in trouble .

We played the front nine in two hours as a foursome. We watched every shot of a twosome in front of us throughout the back nine and waited on every hole.

Bunkers need attention & .money. The rough needs to be cut & the fairways plugged. Is anyone going to invest some time & money to ensure good conditions this Summer?

The course conditions have improved since the last time I played here. Time to punched and fertilize the fairways. Bunkers need more sand & grooming. Tees need attention before the season changes.
All in all, it's better, but not good.

Not sure how the owners rationalize the cost of a round vs. the conditions of this course. The temperature was 78 degrees and most of the fairways were over saturated. This promotes weeds more than not watering at all. Fairways had not been cut in the last week and the rough was over-grown to the point of losing balls just off the fairway. I was told that there are only nine maintenance workers for 27 holes! The lakes are disgusting and unhealthy. DO SOMETHING!

I was one of the first players to play the Diablo Course when it first opened. I have played this course at least 50 times per year since then. It saddens me to see the condition of this course. The fairways are over-grown with weeds, the bunkers are not maintained ever and the water hazards are now "health hazards" and are gross. I can only recommend the fact that 70% of the greens are in good shape but that may be short-lived.
The staff is always friendly, but the condition of the facility is a joke.
Selling it and hopefully getting an investor to redeem these 27 holes would be my suggestion. I will play my golf in the valley or the foothills for the time being. I will miss John and Ella in the bar.
