Pine Hills Golf Club

A decent 9 hole course which we played twice. Lots of leaves and acorns on various holes. Acorns are not good for taking a solid stance and a bit of course maintenance would go a long way. Decent layout and nice people. It was hot with dry areas off the area making for lots of hard pan shots. Drove just short of the 1st green and had a heck of a time finding my ball because of all the leaves just yards from the green. Acorns as mentioned before are a "big" no no when trying to chip, and should be removed.

On a beautiful day for golf we teed off on time and knew it would be slow going. The front nine was busy and the play was slow, but we managed to stay calm and enjoy our day. At the turn the pace picked up, but only when we played through a fivesome (not good) and a foursome of senior ladies who were trying to have fun. Losing two holes was frustrating as those two holes would have been very nice had we played them. After that we (two of us) move at a very rapid pace around the nicely conditioned course which had recently watered the fairways making for a longer golf course. We enjoyed our day and the course and would consider playing here again.

Nice course. Nice staff. Course conditions very good. Greens very slick. Nice balance of water, Sand, and trees. Weather was excellent and as mentioned before course was in great condition. Stay away from the sand in the water and you should score well if you can putt.

Course was in the best shape I"ve ever seen it in. Greens were very fast and fairways were nice. Getting off the fairways puts one in some sticky rough and can make for difficulty extracting your ball and judging distance. Excellent staff, very friendly. One of the best staff's I've ever encountered. A real delight to play out in the country on a very nice course. Well worth the drive to get there.
The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course
Played On 05/02/2016Cloudy and cool
The Den at Fox Creek is a nice course for pretty much every level of player. Wide fairways help in your decisions to "rip it" on most holes. Greens are large and extremely fast and can cause lots of 3 putts if not gifted with soft hands. Course conditions are always very good and the layout and holes have lots of variety, never giving the same look twice. Par 3's are diverse and interesting, with 2 of the 4 requiring spot on ball striking. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Driving range and putting greens make for nice warmup and preparation before starting your round.

We got a great deal for our golf round. The course was in good shape for early in the year. Because of the wind, it seemed to get colder as the day went on, which made it difficult to find a true golf swing, as each of us were trying to stay warm and not tighten up in between shots. Overall we enjoyed our day, but will wait until things warm up a bit before braving the elements as we did this particular day. Staff was friendly even though they are going through tough times, not knowing what will happen with the course, as the banks are overseeing it's operations. It had been several years since I last played the course, but would recommend playing here, as the prices are good and the course is in nice shape.

Got a great deal from Golf Now which helped in making this day that much more enjoyable. The day started off overcast but by the time we finished it was a beautiful sunny day with perfect temperatures for playing golf. Course was in nice condition, greens had been aerated and were just a bit bumpy, but that's to be expected when playing fall golf. Actually played one of my better rounds for playing this course. Staff was courteous, and overall the round went well. I don't play here often, but would recommend a round here . Made for a nice day.

Perfect weather for golfing. Got a great price for the day. Course was not in it's usual great condition. Sand traps were full of water, and the ones that weren't have far too much sand in them. You need a tractor to dig yourself out of those pits. Greens had been aerated and this made for lots of puts bouncing and getting off line when putting. The greens are normally very fast and smooth, but not this day. The course is very fun to play and challenges you to hit your shots in the right places, or pay a price. Even though this day was not the best conditions I've played on this course, I still recommend playing here, as most courses still don't offer the variety and conditions that are normally found here.

Got a good "hot deals" rate to play the course. It made the day worth it. Paying higher rates here is asking a bit much. Great weather and good course conditions made for a nice round of golf. Greens were quick and in good shape. Nearly aced the 17th hole and nearly eagled the 18th hole. Had birdies on both for a nice finish. Course is not difficult if you just hit your ball half way good. I grew up playing golf at this course and only recently played here again. There are so many good courses to play in my area. I did this as a favor to a friend who is somewhat of a beginner at golf. It made his experience much better. Good course for juniors and seniors. Gives many chances to post low scores as the course is short. Still, it's a nice place to go if your game isn't on. This course can build your ego.

Temperature was in the 60's and the wind was up a bit which made the course play longer. Course conditions were the best I've seen for this course in years. New improvements to the course have taken place over the past several years and have made for a better golf course. Very pretty course in the spring. Lots of people play here. Greens were very fast, particularly above the holes. Jet speed would be a better description on the some of the greens. New bunkers and removal of some trees gives the course some nice appeal. This course plays tough in the wind as do most courses, but putting the lightening fast greens in the wind can turn out to be a real challenge. A bit expensive for a city course, but good deals can be found on various golf sites. Overall a nice place to play golf.

Early spring conditions are good at this point. Fairways are lush, greens are very fast but a bit patchy. Course is very pretty during the spring, with lots of trees throughout the course and some long tough holes coming home. Repairs are taking place around the clubhouse. Very good staff (nice people). I've heard that some of the greens are being expanded using parts of greens from a recently closed course in another part of the city of Peoria. An enjoyable round of golf with some challenge if you're not hitting it well.
Hi scramble1,
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our course conditions and staff. We hope you see us again soon for your next round!
